Japanese Grand Prix 2011, Suzuka Circuit - Race 15/19

Got to love what Jenson said at the end to Vettel. "Did you not see me in the first corner?" Vettel smirks... Button goes * Come on man....* haha and like usual the stewards show there hate for Mclaren and not punish Vettel.

They should have just given him a drive through, it would have many no odds in the result of the championship, as he would have tied it up at the next race, but at least it would have added spice to the race.

Delighted Button won and congratulations to Vettel, worthy double champion.

If McLaren can improve their car a sufficient amount to get near Red Bull next season I'd place money on Button, rather than Hamilton, being the driver to watch. Might not have the raw speed of Hamilton but he's a far more intelligent driver and appears to make the most of the car he's been given.

Agree congratulations to both!!
Just wish the stewards could get there act together and stop hating Hamilton whos probably one of the best drivers out there along with Vettel and Button.

stewards? why you moaning about the stewards they haven't done anything? To be honest lewis was asleep today, 2 bad moments with Massa... I bet Massa was going mad. Something is really wrong with Lewis lately.

Hamilton has done brilliantly lately even though so many ppl are trying to ruin his races.

And the stewards should have acted but didn't for once.... against Vettel but no surprise there. Massa has been to blame for every instance I have seen this year except a couple which were just racing instances at high almost uncontrollable speeds

we get that you dont like hamilton.

I don't mind him, decent enough driver on his day like Jenson is :) I actually feel a bit sorry for him that the British based F1 media have overhyped him so much that his fans expect too much from him :) And this also means when he makes a mistake it's magnified greatly.

How have you managed to turn the stewards not punishing Vettel for a minor incident that wasn't even really an actual incident and only involved Vettel and Button into "Just wish the stewards could get there act together and stop hating Hamilton"

Baffling

Lets hope that RBR don't produce another cracker of a car.
Vettel is now able to take on the other established champions in equal machinery (something he was unable to do in 2010), so the last thing he needs is a car which is faster than the rest.

I think Ferrari and McLaren have to try and do something about their qualifying performance. In many races this year, RBR have not had the fastest race car, but when Vettel starts on pole and avoids all incidents, even in a slower race car, he still wins.

Anyway, we have 4 more races left. 100 points still up for grabs.

Next year we shall probably be moving over to SKY and this is something that I am already dreading. I still havent sorted out the best/cheapest way of getting F1 next year. Paying £30-odd, just for F1 seems a pain in the backside.

How have you not understood what I have said more like??? Vettel pushed Button onto the grass at probably over 150mph and if Button didn't back out there would have probably been a serious collision with either driver maybe getting seriously hurt or even killed plus the amount of crowds only metres away could have had debris flying towards them... If that Had been Hamilton he would have been punished for sure!! But thats racing it seems this year.

Watching this on iplayer now. Safety car? Why did they wait so long? I really hate how the FIA use the safety car to try and make it more exciting - it was fine as it was

and at what point today did the stewards hate on hamilton for what frankly could easily have been a penalty

yet Lewis rams into Massa removing part of his car and is not punished, seems to not fit with the theory :)

How could a slight wheel Rub be a penalty and a pure push of the track at a lot greater speed not be?

Red Bull and McLaren are going to be hurt the most when the EBD is gone next year, Ferrari should be in very good shape as Silverstone in a way showed :)

Sky will be about £40 a month I reckon, time you take their basic tv package and add on all the sport channels

A brilliant drive by Jenson today, thoroughly deserved win. I still think vettel should have had a penalty, the rules state you cannot force another driver off. It was a bit less aggressive than some of the times others have done it but in the end it didn't matter anyway.

I personally don't think we will see the old Lewis back, he's far too aggressive a driver for these tyres. Sadly I don't like how these tyres punish the aggressive drivers and I don't think Hamilton will ever adapt.

A stunning drive by alonso, again for me showing why he's the best in the business, a second in that car and beating vettel. He just seems to be able to dig so deep even in a car that's not the best and not make mistakes.

I hope Ferrari can get their act together next year.
