Today they failed miserably and someone may have been seriously injured as a result. Erring on the side of caution is understandable, if sometimes a bit annoying, but that they did so massively with the early SC and then totally failed to later when any idiot could see it was necessary is unforgivable.

BBC Coverage of this is terrible, any mention by the drivers about Bianchi and the subject is changed.

I was watching the race on the BBC but changed to Sky when I could see on here they were totally clueless on what had happened with the accident.

Cockpit looks to be intact, hopefully he's just been knocked unconscious by the impact. It doesn't sound good though

Looks like it was the bad angle on the first pic that made it look like the car had been smashed apart. The left side looks pretty hard hit though.

I don't know that barrier seems to be pretty far into the left hand of cockpit.

Yep, whining little ****. The early SC could easily have come in four or five laps earlier - the fact that everyone switched to inters within a couple of laps of the SC coming in proves that.

Still maintain that the SC should have been deployed the second the crane came out to recover Sutil's car. Anyone with half a brain could see that all the cars on inters were starting to struggle in the rapidly worsening conditions and that another off was likely but they did nothing.

SC deployment is an utter joke - they're far too over-cautious most of the time then fail to deploy it when it's genuinely needed quickly. Much as I respect Charlie, I want to see some serious questions asked about this.

Easy to say now in hindsight but if you did that in every wet race then what's the point in having a wet race at all? Remember Silverstone 2008?

I also thought that when the JCB came out that the SC should have come out immediately, however I can also understand that it was at the end of the race so having multiple waved yellow flags is generally enough.
