I think the major difference wasn't that he was using his phone it was more his comments made when he was posting the images... I appreciate it can't be great having to sit through those things answering the same questions over and over but it's part of their job, an amazing job that he gets paid a truck load of money to do. I feel as though Lewis is his own worst enemy the majority of the time.

I remember one of the drivers (I think it was Alonso, so probably fromt he above) psoting the photo he took and saying how he was turning the tables or something on those there.
 
I mean admittedly I've not seen your history but others say you do bait...however I have seen others post about rosberg getting a dnf and those weren't deleted so slightly double standards.

Thats a load of bs tho... ric and alo take like one photo... lewis was on his phone the ENTIRE time unless he was asked a question. Yes the pressers can be a bit of a yawnfest but i did think that was a tad disrespectful to the press and japanese hosts.

If lewis had won last weekend i can guarantee you he wouldnt have behaved like that either... hes already started losing his head in the wdc fight, its the kind of petulance/sulking/woe is me hes known for and its cringeworthy really.
 
I am a big fan of Lewis, although dicking about - I am lost for words. I would guess this is a ploy to create controversy and appeal to social media next generation?

I just cannot envisage any of the true greats acting in a similar manner - its embarrassing.
 
So I just watched qualifying. A couple of observations:

- Mercs seem close so we may finally see them wheel to wheel racing?!
- When did the Haas's wake up?!
- What was that cringey thing where Herbert spoke to Rosberg? I didn't like that at all.. Just seems a bit forced and false.

I can understand both sides of Snapgate. Yes the press are annoying but Hamilton kind of created a situation he didn't need to. Then compounded that with a walk out... And that's coming from a Hamilton fan but to be honest I'm more a fan of the racer/driver than the man. Most of these guys grow up from an early age as the centre of the universe/most important guy ever/champion so it's not surprising that they can be a bit immature as its a very different world to what most normal people grow up in.

Still all that said I love this track and hopefully we'll get a good race tomorrow. :)
 
I stick by what i just said about lewis in the press conference but having just watched qually and the post pressers/interviews hes much better today. If he was like that all the time (how hes been today) it would be much better.. hes way more likeable when hes not sulking and mooching over stuff.

Yes, trolling, it is all he does in these threads. I am a Mercedes fan first and foremost and a Hamilton DNF would not spice things up, it would seal the fate of the championship and therefore make the remaining races pointless.

As for the media stuff, I don't blame him. They are all just having a bit of fun, yet only Hamilton gets singled out. If I had his money and lifestyle I would tell them all to get stuffed to.
 
The start will be interesting, especially if Rosberg and Hamilton get away cleanly.

I can’t help feel that this began at last years US Grand Prix. Hamilton created a monster in Rosberg and it’s coming home to roost. Hamilton after securing the Championship lapsed during the last Grand Prix's in 2015, giving Rosberg the momentum into 2016.

Furthermore, Hamilton openly disparaged Rosberg, whether Mercedes felt that during 2016 bring Hamilton back to earth....

With reference to Hamilton’s Press conference behaviour, the only other justification, a two finger to Mercedes not to toe the corporate line…

All speculation ;)
 
tbf those pressers are so wooden, its pathetic.

What's wrong with a 31 year old acting like a kid, I think he feels more comfortable interacting with fans than the press and other drivers.

Ricardo drinks from his shoe and it's fun, not that I think he shouldn't do it.
