I don't think he necessarily did. We do know though that Trump's name is all over these files which is why they've done everything they can to stop them being published. He finally caved and supported the release when he knew they had the numbers in Congress to pass the vote and no way could he ever veto it. Though Bondi might save him yet with her opening an investigation in SDNY. They can't release files while there is an active investigation.

Lots of people outside of this DOJ have seen these files so burning it won't achieve anything. The question is whether MAGA will accept Bondi holding files back with excuses she hopes they'll accept. She most certainly does not fear a GOP controlled Congress.

Exactly. The issue is not jsut that maybe they did something too, but more that they were good friends with him. Look at mandelson. Lost his job just from association with Epstein. Plenty will see thst and don't want it to happen to them too

No doubt there is powerful people caught up in it. We were talking about Trump and the insinuation that he's hiding the files because there is something in there that would strip him of the presidency and put him jail.

It seems unlikely there is something in those files that could do that to Trump, because if there was you have to explain two things.

1... why didn't Epstein use it before. and 2....why didn't the Biden administration use that info which they had for 4 years before the election.

It doesn't make much sense if you can't square those two questions away.

Yep, and they can easily claim on going investigation/victim protecting. The only issue with that may be that if others have seen the redacted stuff, it will continue to be an ongoing issue for Trump that the Dems are beating him with.

If there is nothing in there that is going to embarrass Trump why has he made sure it never got released until Congress forced his hand? He has been trying to make this story go away for months. Don't say its to protect a donor, Trump doesn't care this much about anyone but Trump.

I was being facetious in response to Klink who suggested that Bondi can do what the hell she wants with no recourse. Bondi can redact Trump, but HR4405 states she will have to show and explain such redactions. If she acts outside the law then she puts herself on the chopping block next time the Dems are in power.

The best anyone can hope for is that it helps him lose the mid terms. That's it. Once he is out, it can be added to the list of cases against him but I don't think anyone believes something will be released by bondi that will take down trump.

No one looking at this objectively believes he didn't know what was happening to those girls while they were still good friends. The birthday book drawing he made. Him saying on camara how Epstein liked them young. They were best mates while Epstein was abusing girls. We know Trump used to go into the changing room of his Miss Teen competitions when the girls were in states of undress, they were as young as 15. On his orders Maxwell who should be serving her sentance in a tough prison has been moved to Club Fed where no one guilty of her crimes should be and she them says she never saw Trump do anything inappropriate

Did Trump rape underage girls? I've no idea. Do I think he'd morally have a problem with having sex with a beautiful 16/17 year old back then? No I don't. I'm not expecting anything in those files that could end his presidency. At worst we'll see things that embarrass him and show him to be the liar we all know he is. He knew that Epstein was abusing minors though and he did nothing to stop it, for that alone he is vile scum and so is anyone else who knows of such people and keep their mouth shut. Andrew Windsor at best knew and did nothing, so he deserves all that is coming his way.

Perhaps now it's in trumps governments hands it's going to be more trump related now, but just to make sure the threads not heading too much in a direction that's going to get it locked
