Apparently they've removed his gravestone...

The real shame is he doesn't have a chance to defend himself and deny the accusations or the such like.

From the story I saw Freddie originally claimed that he had never been on a television programme with Jimmy Saville and yet footage has been found with him on one along with the woman who has accused him in the background...

Would you not be a little terrified if you were accused of kiddy fiddling even without being in the public eye? It's an accusation that sticks regardless of the truth. He will now always be known as "Freddie Starr.... Keep an eye on him because you never know..."

Being accused of something like this is probably the worst thing someone can be accused of when it is not true.

I have no opinion either way, I've not read enough on it or know much about the evidence but it's headlines like the Sun newspapers that whip the retards up into a frenzy....

What an awful headline, atleast let the investigation run it's course.

Although he was probably guilty of this, to much smoke without any fire, i also feel its unfair he cant defend himself, its obvious he didnt do all of this in the last few months of his life so why wait till now to bring it out?

I would be more angry than scared, though of course there would be some fear. Were I to be interviewed by the BBC I would actually respond to the claims in a calm, sober manner, though it would be difficult. Starr is a professional after all.
A relative of mine was once accused of raping a 15 year old girl. He was angry, he was scared. But he didn't get drunk and his arguments consisted of more than "I would never do that". Of course him not being in the country at the time of the alleged rape helped.

Don't need to remember every detail. But Jimmy Saville was a legend for decades. I don't care how long your career was, you would remember being around him.

Whilst I agree that it's unfair that he can't defend himself, on the flip side it's also unfair that he can't be punished as he's dead. Swings and roundabouts really. I think the main point and reason to push forward with this is to try to prevent anything similar from happening in future.

A guest appearance 40 years ago? He might have been a legend to someone off the street meeting him but to another celeb it's just another gig. Why would he remember that years later.

Either way come up with some actual evidence against the guy or leave it out of the press until he can actually be charged with something.
