And I've just heard more victims are coming forward, I'd say he must have molested at least a hundred in all that time so I expect 50 to 60 to come forward over time.
 
Max Clifford said on Sky News earlier that he is getting swamped by new claims involving other celebrities that worked around Saville.

I saw Freddie on TV this morning and he was either drug/stoned or very ill. He claimed he was ill and got quite emotional about saying if he dies his last words will be 'I didn't do it'. Felt quite sorry for him.

Only thing that came out was his his finance of 32 wanting to re-iterate that there relationship only started after she was the age of consent. Just seemed a bit strange giving she is 16 years above that age.
 
Regardless of what really happened, now he is dead I really don't understand the whole police investigation that is going to happen, or even the BBC investigation.

What exactly is supposed to achieve?
He can't be 'convicted' like a normal criminal and sent to prison. his victims can't take out civil action - can they?

All this is going to achieve is potentially ruin the good work that he undoubtedly did over the years and waste a pile of money.

Perhaps the conviction of others who were directly or indirectly helping Saville abuse people.

Bring those that helped him and covered up his abuse to justice?

Ensure failings that are found are patched over? A know a long time has passed but there may still be loopholes that could still be dealt with.

Indeed, it seems more than coincidental that this has been kept so well hidden for so many decades but then soon after he dies it explodes into the public domain.

Given the number of victims coming out of the woodwork why didn't any of them go the police before? and if they did why did nothing come of it?
 
ok so whats the point of it all. If the enquiry finds that he was a child fiddler whats going to happen? open his coffin up and thrash his bones? I guess theres a fat cheque in it for the victims and any other opportunistic gold digger who can argue a good case.
 
Re Frank Bruno/ Peter Sutcliffe - iirc Bruno said some bloke held out his hand for a handshake and he held his out in autopilot kind of thing, and didn't realize it was our friendly neighborhood murderer until after when of course it had been photographed.

I can understand that happening.
You are attending a secure unit hospital, not everyone in there is a sutcliff, you shake hands, then you realise.
Wouldn't blame frank.

That he was in charge of “entertainment” at Broadmoor where he would have tea with Peter Sutcliffe.

Oh, and I dread to think how many celebs/rock stars etc etc are totally ******* themselves right now over their shenanigans in the 60s-80s.

Yes it is wrong and bad and illegal to <have relations> with anybody under the age of 16 but has only really been utterly demonized to ridiculous levels within the last 10 years or so. Really playing devils advocate now but it reminds me of the scene in the Last Passion of The Christ when they were going to make J Harry pay no matter what, and even when the crowd were given the choice of letting a murderer/torturer/general really bad egg be released or our dear messiah they chose him anyway because of the mass feror (sp?).

Anyway, just my two pennies worth. (please don't ban me and do not BURN THE WITCH!)

Well its not just about having relations with under 16 year olds. :confused:

He has apparently raped and molested people, by force, intimidation or other vile means. He's being accused have molesting people while they have been unconscious after brain surgery and also for molesting corpses.
 
Wow just found this thread which by the looks of it was a started as a rip thread then its turned into a feeding frenzy.

I'm not defending the bloke But what happened to innocent until "proven" guilty.

At the moment these are just accusations and some shaky ones at that IE molesting brain damaged people in hospital
