I already suggested this three weeks ago back on page 8 of this thread, I'm disappointed to see that no progress has been made towards making it a reality.
Merely stripping him of his Knighthood isn't enough, we need to exhume the body of this sick **** and display his rotting corpse in a gibbet on Piccadilly Circus as a warning to others!

I won't hear a bad word said against Jimmy Savile! This is the guy who, when I was 8, fixed it for me to milk a cow blindfolded.

A bloke who looks like this would be known as the 'local town nutter' and no way would i want my child around him. I do not know who the man is, so my first impression when i googled him was that he looked like a nutjob. I now know he is a dirty horrible nutty pedo who is a Necrophiliac to go with it.

I've not followed the thread, so sorry for that.
It's not surprising that Savile got away with this, if you consider how 'big' the man was at the time. He was bomb proof. Nobody who spoke out against him at the time would have been taken seriously. Remember this is a man who spent Christmas with the Thatcher eleven times, eleven. A man who raised millions for charity (which also put him in to contact with more people at risk) and whom had a web of friends in very high places.
It's utterly terrible that if the BBC knew about this, or people knew about this that were in a posititon to stop this or at least raise awareness and concern didn't. That's unforgivable and terrible.
There is plenty of anti BBC stuff going on at the minute, mainly from the anti BBC people anyway, always quick to stick the boot in to anything the BBC do wrong. The BBC have made some catastrophic errors in judgement over this.
However, all of this is said in hindsight.
It's heart breaking to think that this happened on such a scale. It's even worse that if people knew about this or suspected this and didn't speak out.
Also; can I just add I'm not 'defending' the BBC, but some of the questions and critical remarks about the BBC have been laughable, granted they're mainly coming from the anti BBC media organisations anyway. It's all in hindsight that you can look back on actions and understand the true meaning or intentions, at the time things can often look a lot different.
Final word, does anyone think the charity work was a massive ploy to be given access to young or people at risk?

Well seeing as the police are taking this very seriously, I would say yes and they are still building a case. It is becoming clear that not just he was involved.

The first time I heard something was from a friend of mine who used to work for Jonathan King back in the late 60's/early 70s (he was a session musician).
When King was arrested my mate said that Savile would be next but I always thought of him as a weirdo.
