I got an interview for a job tomorrow, it's a clothes shop, kinda like sports clothes e.g Kappa, Addidas etc..

Anyway, people say I shouldn't wear a suit for it.. but I think I should..

Should I wear a suit to this interview? Because I cannot see why I shouldn't.

Thanks

It's a difficult question. If you wear a suit it's easy to get it right. If you wear sportswear their decerning eyes might spot things that are wrong or unfashionable in the eyes of the shop. Make sure if you choose to dress in sportswear you dress as they would in the shop.

If it were me I'd go in a suit.

Or perhaps an oversized black trenchcoat, fishnet stockings on your arms, and a pair of ridiculously-priced New Rock boots.

;)

Are you somehow implying that I'm a Goth solely on the basis of my username? If that's the case, then I'm afraid you are sadly mistaken there! :)

I wouldnt bother with a suit, I have been to two interviews and have been offered the job for both and just wore a smart shirt, black pants and smart black shoes. I found everyone else wore something along those lines. I think if you wore a suit you would feel over dressed when you got there.

A suit is optional for this type of job.

At a minimum I would expect smart trousers, shoes and a shirt and tie.

Your ability and experience will count most but first impressions do have an effect.

Yeah but it makes me look smart and sucessfull xD

yeah, ..we'll see how it goes I suppose.

Who cares about the colour of your underwear?
