Although I was never a fan of McAfee or Norton AV (both are too bloated imo), I would never wish death on someone who made AV software even when there are better options out there such as ESET Nod, Avira, AVG etc.

Also, I think McAfee was credited as being the first major AV software to become available.

Guy was a nutter but I enjoyed reading about what he had been up to every few years. Usually some shenanigans.
 
There was a documentary about him in some South American hell hole. He was living like a Pimp crossed with a drug lord. I am pretty sure he killed people or at least paid hitmen.

Seemed like a proper troubled individual deep down and I think the years running had eventually caught up with him.

In 2019 he tweeted saying he would never kill himself. They finally killed him tbh. He was an absolute legend, a mad man, but still a legend. Remember his video from 2013 on how to uninstall mcafee antivirus?

Iirc he had a hammock where his girls would defecate on his face. You really need to look up his documentary. It is proper hardcore. He basically got away with shooting some guys son with a shotgun in some holiday place on some island.
 
Not sure why there is so much dislike for him. He had nothing to do with the McAfee AV company since 1994, most here probably didn't have computers by then.

He saved a 16 year old prostitute, and many others, even after she tried to shoot him in the face he forgave her.

Perhaps because he's British, people don't like to like the British.
 
He lived a life, and gave a finger to the USA and they hunted him down.

Ok the alleged murder is not forgiveable but RIP the world needs more like you.

People don't like him because of what he often represented.
