John wick - A step to far

The thread piqued my curiosity so I watched it today. I thought it was watchable but considering the cast, a bit mundane. I didn't think it was that violent compared with a lot of other films - lots of pistol headshots though.

you said "most" ~ why take the risk? :-D
Because those it does not kill are still unlikely to be getting up any time soon.
Same for taking that time to reload and shoot them from mere inches away (where they still present a danger), instead of simply pistol-smashing their windpipe in and then reloading while not under immediate threat...

The bigger problem in my mind is why all the bad guys seem drawn to close to melee range, when they all have guns. And how inexplicably they lose the scent.

Seriously, somewhere at the Bad Guy Training School, they need to fire their instructors.

"Now chaps, if there's a ton of you and one of him, don't keep your distance. It is essential that you proceed - one at a time if you please - to walk up to your enemy, pretending to have no idea where he is, despite having heard his gunshots, footsteps, the cries of your comrades, scuffling, breathing, and reloading noises. You must make a real effort to make him look good as he predictably shoots in you the head. This profession is all about keeping up appearances.

"Remember you must have taken life insurance first or you will be letting everyone down."

The BGTS has a long history steeped in traditional martial arts, where the technique of gathering round a Hero and patiently waiting for your turn to attack has been taught for thousands of years... It is a mark of respect to the Hero, allowing him the space to pose. To do otherwise would bring shame on all your ancestors and belittle their achievement of living long enough to sire you.

Do not diss the BGTS!!

Every time somebody posts a Monty Python sketch, I force myself to watch it and try to find it funny. But they aren't; they just aren't :( I must be doing something wrong.

Thread is awesome, thumbs up and stuff.

I enjoyed Wick, them making another isn't going to hurt me in any way, shape, or form so crack on I say.
