John Williams Appreciation Thread

Check through the 'treks in scfi' podcast archive, there's an exelent tribute to williams work, great listen while at the gym, or you have nothing else on the mind.

Question i was asking myself the other week while i was soking up the glorious superman score on the end credits on the 2006 film on the beeb last week.

John williams, equal, better, or not a touch on the classical composers of old. Hard for me not to think the guy is just as good when iv'e such a connect in my lifetime with what he's done.
 
i got the chills when this happened. could have cried. the atmosphere that the short 20 seconds of johns finest created was incredible. have been to cup finals that dont even come close

massive fan of most his stuff but close encounters theme combined with the movie is just perfect. remember it from childhood like it was yesterday

Please please please let this be just a minor ailment. John is up there with Sir David Attenborough as people who simply must never, under any circumstances, be allowed to peg it.
