Updating for Friday

Was a bit of a bro workout, a few of us had a lock in at the gym, was awesome, just serious training with no idiots taking up space/equipment :D I loved it

Friday: Shoulders

Seated Barbell Press - Bar x8, 60kg x8x3
Lateral Raises - 12kg x15, 14kg x15, 16kg x12x2
Machine Press - 50kg x12x3
Rear Delt Fly - 12kg x10, 14kg x10x2
DB Front Raises - 16kg x8x3
Shrugs - 100kg x15, 130kg x15x4

Normally do bis with shoulders, but that shoulder workout was so awesome I didn't bother :D

Seated barbell press was good, normally I'd start at a lot less, but as I was training with someone new, didn't want to seem like a pussy :D I needed a spot on the last set but still, was pleased and shows how much I'd benefit from having a training partner :(
 
Oh I know, but Dom and Scott train so differently to me, I'd only get in their way or I'd end up annoying them too much with my inclusion of isolation work :p

Very aware of that, and I know exactly how you feel regarding the training partner.

It does suck not having anybody that has the same objectives in the gym... only guy who comes close in my gym wants to lean out (and he was double-overhanding 140kg on a deadlift, so I ignored him... :D ).

seriously though I think i would definitely be lifting more now with a consistent training partner. Nothing against lone wolf training considering i have been doing it since i started lifting but yeah, training partner wanted :(
 
If I was at the same level as yourself I'd train with you Syla5, as it is there's no point unloading 150kg to 60kg every set :D
 
I'd love to have Stoodles come and train with us regularly, but I totally understand his concerns. Less about him annoying us, it would definitely be more that he got frustrated about equipment and rest times. The atmosphere is a lot more geared towards do a set, chat for 5 mins, repeat.

If you come after 8 on most days you can pretty much do whatever you want though. Also, I could give you exclusive use of one of the bars...

Tuesday: Chest/Tris

Incline Bench - Bar x8, 70kg x10x2, 80kg x8, 70kg x8
Cable Crossover - 30kg x10x2, 35kg x10
DB Incline Press - 28kg x10x3
Dips - BW+20kg x10x3
Cable Pushdowns - 25kg x12x2, 30kg x8x2
Cable Overhead Extensions - 25kg x10x3
Cable Pulldowns - 20kg x15x3

Kind of a deload on triceps this week, I know it's pretty similar to what I normally do but I didn't do any dumbbell work just stuck to the cable work tonight as the last two weeks they've been well and truly buggered for a couple of days after, so gave them a lighter workout tonight
