Did you miss the bit where he was responding to someone suggesting he's put on the first flight
ya missed that bit. But Assange done no crimes in Australia or even in UK other than skipping his bail and hide out in an embassy for years and water a bucket of tax payers money. Which I think the government could have just installed a camera on a street lamp with facial recognition and paid a civil servant to stand there which would have been more cost effective

One encouraging point is that the judge accepted pretty much all the allegations against Assange. He certainly wasn't denying extradition on the basis of innocence.

What crime has he committed in Australia that would justify that?

None, but he could be imprisoned here under an agreement with the US. It's been done before; e.g. David Hicks, originally imprisoned in US but subsequently released to Australia where he served out the rest of his term.

Edit: Missed the bit someone was proposing sending Assange to Oz.

tho he s don’t nothing in your country...

See above.

If he cannot be extradited his presence should be determined as 'not conducive to the public good' and he should be escorted to the first Quantas flight leaving for Oz, his country of birth. We should not be keeping him or putting up with his annoying personality any longer.

He has abused his stay in the UK as I see it.

Return to Australia would seem the best course.

He skipped bail and did a year for that in the UK. That is why he was dragged out of the embassy (at Ecuador's request) and arrested. But the UK have not brought charges against him for their data being stolen. That could still happen.

He is pretty much stuck here now though. Anywhere else might ship him to the US. If he isnt a UK citizen then I guess he is going to have to fly home eventually, then he's stuffed.

He will just get extradited to US straight away as soon as his feet set on the tarmac in Sydney.

we would have got nothing out of it and with a soured relationship and appear to be weak and pathetic.
What do we need out of it. We return him to the bosom of his country, a democratic society governed under the rule of law.

Harry Dunn's murderer and total access to US markets would be nice with no condition attached and we dont have to reciprocate :)

We don't get anything out of him staying in the UK, except for continued legal and security costs and further reputational damage. He's just a continuing liability.

He should return home.

The US has been granted limited permission to appeal against this decision. American lawyers will rely heavily on the US government's assurances that Assange will not be held in a maximum security prison, or face extra security measures.

His crime was to show how the USA were shafting everyone on the planet. They weren't ever going to stop until they got their hands on him and he tragically passed away due to "suicide" You dont' show the US dirty laundry in public and not pay the toll

It depends on the type of dirty laundry you're showing. Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward exposed a major scandal at the highest levels of government, and destroyed the Nixon presidency. They faced no repercussions whatsoever. On the contrary, they've been celebrated as heroes ever since.

I'ts more a human rights issue, If he gets extradited to the USA, he'll end up 'commiting suicide' via a double tap to the back of the head, with the guard mysteriously asleep and the CCTV mysteriously malfunctioniong at the same time.
