If you cant jump a car with another one running, than a jump pack will not work. New battery time I think.

Have you tried doing the above with a running car?

All 3 of them have new batteries they just havent been started for a month.

The problem is they are all in my barn which if you can imagine holds 3 rows of 4 cars, those 3 are at the back so you cant get a running car down to them.

Yup, a boost pack will work as a pack to "boost" the battery on the cars.

Some folks have trouble with that ;)

Do you think this

Will get 3 dead Jag batteries jumped, with a charge in between obviously?

Yes, i have one of those (exactly the same basic design) and i bought it for around £35 quid. In the space of about 12 months i jump started 3-4 cars times with it without a single charge in between. Still kept it's charge now for over 2 years. And literally 3 days ago was the first time in 2 years that i've had to charge it. V good piece of kit (and couples as a compressor), but like i said, i got mine for £35.

Ohh well if they are new batteries then a jump pack should work, I have used a few on my old cars that had a totally flat batteries and they wouldn't work as they didn't supply enough power, I had to buy a new battery, every time.

for that cost cant you buy a sack barrow, a pair of normal batteries plus jump leads.

wire them in series (i think it is, to keep it 12v) and it ought to start anything and be just as portable if you have that many motors

I do not think the internals are the same. I too have one that is of the same basic design, except it cost £19.99 from a petrol station on one of those 'with £20 of fuel' deals.

Haha ghetto style!! :D

That sounds like a recipe to blow me self up Matt.

Mike what are you saying that one i linked to is too dear? I just want a big **** off one that will do the trick, that one says up to 6 litre engines.

No, I was suggesting to Gaygle that although his £35 and the proposed £100 one look the same, they probably are not.

I used to use them daily when I worked for BMW. I have used Clarke products before and the are ok. They would easily start all 3 jags without a charge in between. We used to have to boost upto 10 on a Monday morning when we were taking photo's for the AUC site.

We had one which wouldn't boost X5/X6 and other big engined stuff so you do get what you pay for.

seems a lot of money, you can get them for £30
mine was £39 7 years ago and its the same as the one in the link, it doesn't look a better build quality and the battery's in them are just 12v gel filled, the same as you get in the old type wall alarms.
to many big names just add there name to a product and wack the price up

There was a discussion about jump packs a few days ago.

The problem with the cheap ones is that they can struggle to pump out the required (Cold Cranking) Amps to fire up a decently sized engine, at least repeatedly.

Thats 24v. You mean parallel to combine amperage.
