In the same boat as you but I got no warning of being disconnected. It's my wifes account (she got the iphone as I was with vodafone and we swapped phones) they rang my phone a couple of times when she was at work but wouldnot discuss it with me. I gave them times to ring back but they never did, next thing she gets an email with our MAC code telling us our contract had been terminated without actually speaking to her before hand so we never even got a chance to try and reduce our usage. Funny thing is though they were quite happy to tie us up with a new 12 month contract less than 2 months ago. Needless to say we are bith livid withthem and her phone contract will not be renewed

Just got off the phone with o2 and have also been shown the door, woman calling me was a right old *****.

I can deal with them not wanting my business, I'm fully aware it's not a result of my usage but over subscription of the service on their part due to greed. They should never have sold the package to as many people if they couln't back up the service promised.

But...what has wound me up is i've been told to return the router they sent me or be charged £50. I don't have it any more and never wanted it in the fist place!!

So i'm now on the lookout for a new ISP and problem another BT type package as Talk Talk are the only LLU ISP on my exchange. :(

So far ADSL24 have been exemplary with their communications. Vey prompt on the phones as well, very happy with the customer service so far. Hope that the service they provide from the 16th will mirror this.

i was on their non llu service and they were good, no issues with the setup and a consistent service.

I forgot to mention they want their router back too, piece of crap that it is they are welcome to it!

Damn, that really is a shame. As you say, it is all down to the greed of the ISP connecting up too many people.

Out of interest, what is your exchange? Perhaps there is a new LLU service arriving soon that isn't showing up on samknows.

Chafford Hundred, only LLU at the mo it TalkTalk, plenty of talk from other ISPs but no set date.

Ah, but O2/Be send you the bag to put it in. All you have to do is drop it in the postbox :)

lol that's true, bag arrived the other day :D

Out of interest, the only LLU services available at my exchange are AOL, TalkTalk and Orange. Are any of these even worth looking at or should I go with ADSL24 or Plusnet?

Orange have improved quite a bit in order to compete with o2. Similarly priced products as well.

Don't know how good their LLU FUP is though.

I rang them and they said they would start getting concerned if I downloaded around the 100Gb mark consistently, however that was during peak time, off peak downloading was not included in this figure, not sure wether to give them a go or not

GSXRMoviestar, I have an old O2 router if you want it (for free) to send back to them. Email in trust or I think you might have it anyway as I think I got you cheaper broadband on my friends and family?

ADSL24 Unmetered weekend = awful.

I left ADSL24 and migrated to IDNet because pings always shot up Sat & Sun evening.
