Little back story...
I've been out of work for several months despite hundreds of applications & numerous interviews. Recently some have stated that they don't understand why with my qualifications I would be applying for the lowly admin positions they offer.
It appears with some I didn’t end up getting the job because as one put it, they were concerned that the job would be an interim thing for me & I would leave as soon as something better came along.
Yes this is actually true so I can't cry about it too much, but isn't that something we ALL do?
Anyway I've been on a job placement for the past couple of weeks & if all turned out well there would be an offer of full time employment. It's a complete change for me this as it is a simple driving job for a local garage & for the two weeks I have been there, the management have given me all the thumbs up, big smiles & told me I'm doing a grand job. As long as you're not crashing everything you get behind the wheel of how can you not do a grand job?
Anyway the company owner returned today from holiday & I met him for the first time. While entering the drivers section to pick up the paperwork for my next delivery/collection I said hello to the company owner who was stood in the office. He looked at me puzzled & asked who I was?
I simply & politely introduced myself & was then asked where I was from. I stated which agency had sent me & he went totally insane yelling at me to not give him any attitude & for me to get the **** out of his garage!
I replied stunned "I'm not sure what just happened but okay" & turned to leave, but apparently my walk was giving him some kind of attitude and within taking 3 steps towards the door he yelled "Don't walk away like that, giving me attitude!"
By this time I must admit my general feeling of being stunned was quickly being replaced with rage & if this had of happened a few years ago I'd have been spending an evening or two at her majesty’s pleasure, again...
Anyway long story short.... hopes of lovely incoming wage packet all gone down the spout & so have my plans for a new build
and I've had my very first ever firing YAY? Previous job endings have been down to redundancy, except for the one where the company owner suddenly had to leave the country due to tax issues
