Just bought...

It's a bit *****. All the people on the council estate in my home village used to drive pickups.

Pretty cool though, why did you get it?

Naw, that's a company car driver who's realised how little he gets taxed by using a pickup. Smart chappie (assuming it is a company car).

Yup, that was dad until the government got their act together and closed the loophole.

Oh and it's not a chav car.

Not bad for a car with a rated top speed of 96mph!! Although chipped, I imagine that should fly, and I love the roar of those lumps! Was looking at one this time last year to throw two dogs in as you can get some good deals on them (+VAT), however, my daily commute across the Second Severn would mean that i'd have been paying £10 each time to cross the bridge as opposed to £5!!

Still, enjoy it, I know I would!

This just a pure road going vehicle?? If not as your in Essex yell and I can take you out greenlaning, even with road tyres there's a few lanes easy enough to do.
Get some AT's or better yet some MT's on there and you can start exploring all over :)

wouldn't want to get her dirty... :o

I'll take you up on that...

I would say I like it ...but really I don't ...now if it was about 6ft longer and had a big block V8 and a gun-rack I'd like it :D

...seriously though, any vehicle with the word 'warrior' in it's name has got to be cool.

What to do next?

OK. Sorry for starting a new thread, but I need to be clear on this.

I've left a deposit on the Warrior and agreed the purchase, subject to final checks.

What do I need to do and how do I go about it?

What documents do I need?
She's faxed me the MOT certificate, Registration document and finance letter (confirming it's been paid off)

Could someone please advise me what I should do now? I'm starting to panic!

ta

James

Is this 4 threads on this now? I know getting a new car is exciting but bloody 'ell!

Wouldn't it have been a good idea to ask what to do with the documents they were sending you? :p

is a Warrior one of those stupid big 4x4 pickup things?

Next step = Take it down the docks and roll it into the sea
You've missed all of the threads on it?

Can you please stop posting new threads to discuss continuations of the same topic.

I have merged all your threads in to this one.

OK. I just didn't want this latter question to be missed. I'm stressing and have no idea what I'm supposed to do/look for/ask for when buying privately.

Both were making valid points though, unless you can argue them? :)

The latter one was helpful too, ring the garage you bought it from and ask them what to do next. Fairly simple. If they can't/don't want to help then speak to the DVLA.
