just built my I7 Biostar Tpower System and im having nothing but problems :( help

Can someone that has a biostar Tpower help me overclock
I think i fixed the BSODs cause it doesnt happen anymore on vista bootup

the fix i think was enableing the onboard sound even though i didnt need it.
Im personaly hopeing on a new official bios coming out soon to fix all these erratic problems that you didnt get on x48 chipsets LOL

anyway

can someone possibly nelly give me some example overclocks to try out
im not sure what this Ucore ....

or what volts to change in the voltages cause for some reason at the moment i cant get over 173bclk though all my voltages currently apart from memory is at auto LOL

cheers for the help from anyone

Hi mate i input all the settings in that page and i seem to be getting stuck

i cant go any higher than 173 Bclk :(

I dont understand it i input your settings and when the system reboots it stays on a black screen and on the little LCD thingy on the mobo it reads : 09

for some reason this board doesnt want to go over 173, *i smell someing fishy going on*

has there been any Biostar Tpower released with this issue,
do they all have high Bclks ?? over 200 ?

cause this is the main reason i bought this board becuse of its high overclockablility.

but so far im at a brick wall cause no matter what i do i cant get over 173

please help....

Highest speed i have managed to sucsessfully work is 3.33ghz 21x173 :/
i might just be the only guy on the planet that cant get 3.8 or 4.0

Hey Lee, I ran this board at 200 no probs (for 4.2Ghz) so I know it's capable (and that's without fiddling with Northbridge voltage etc). I don't think I've read of a Biostar that doesnt goto 220+ (when the extreme clockers are using them).

Just one thing, is your ram in the second row of slots like I told you? That could explain a few of your problems.

Although it *is* possible that you have a bad chip, which wouldn't be good :( (BUT 3.6 if you're still at default volts is pretty good)

Also note that if you've left the cpu voltage at 'Auto' it will pump volts into the chip (and the d0's dont tend to like anything over 1.35v, give bsods etc)

Hope this helps

Si

HI mate

the problem isnt with the cpu.

the pc wont even boot up with when i select over 173bclk
what happens when i save settings is the pc will reboot and test settings then instead of it booting it will cycle its self and start up and it will read at the bottom before i press F1 Bios clocks failed or somthing like that

press F1 to enter bios or F2 for defaults.

so its not that i can actually start tweaking at the settings its the fact that i cant get the clocks at over 173 to save.

You tried going straight to 200? I'm sure it'll just be a bios setting or similar that's been missed, there's just so many! I can confirm that I reached 200 with no problems though so at least you know it's capable

I gotta goto work now dude, but am sure the guys will be able to help ya. They've been stellar so far

I dont know what i did but Look at this.....

4.2ghz WOOOOT

dunno how i did it but i need to do tweaking now that i have my ideal speed
tweak tweak tweak LOL

if i get problems i will report or if anyone can tell me what voltages ect i need for 4.2

cheers

i have tryed loads of times to get 20x200 but will it boot will it heck lol

anyone have any ideas cause the bios wont save with a 20x200 but it will with a 21x200
