What’s the story with the Limited Edition pre-order weapons?

I was having so much fun I never even tried them last night. I believe you unlock them through GFWL, but I installed the game through Steam, presume this is ok? When you get the extra weapons, where are they in the game? Do you only get them once or do they spawn somewhere?

you get them from calling in a drop
just enter the code that it tells you to put in gfwl into steam instead and you will have a dlc option on the title screen saying what you have

can i have a litle bit of advice with frame capping, i get 60fps quite a lot and it only really goes down to normally no lower than 45 in game, would i be better off setting a framecap at say 40fps?

When i tested all the benchmarks with all settings on high and 4x aa and 16x af it was showing an average of 56fps so really not sure what the best frame cap would be or to just leave it?

I think there's some kinda engine limit on what it can do graphically, if I use the default settings it runs perfect with no drops, If I put even one option up then hit halves in certain places so not really worth it, and the settings don't really add anything anyway. This is on a 5850 at 1680*1050.

It's an amazing game though, ace to just pick up for an hour or two and cause chaos, story mission 3 I think was pretty damn cool

Anyone else getting slowdown in the bit cities? Its fine everywhere else but as I go around the city my FPS drops down every so often, its a shame because the cities are pretty fun to go around but the constant dipping is frustrating.

D3Doverrider rivatuner solved it for me. V-sync and tripple buffering on.

The game does not apply tripple buffering correctly

Runs like a dream Super smooth and responsive. Be sure to turn of Bokeh filter, gpu water and SSAO that are CUDA features. Everything else is on max.

is ther any way to force triple buffering with ati cards? im enjoing this game but with vsync on it throttles down to 30 allot which feels a bit juddery. without vysnc though im getting like 50-80 fps but i hate screen tearing! ccc there is a triple buffer option but doesnt seem to work. rivatuner only works with nvidia?

nvm i downloaded riva tuner as reading on the website it first sayd its for nvidia gpus then says it will work on radeon too, forcing triple buffering working great now getting 50-60 with vsync on.

I love how the developers freely admit that it was developed as a normal game on drugs, a game designed to break the laws of physics and be unrealistic, I like the style of the game and I'm glad they don't pretend its realistic.

I've played some 16 hours and only done like 3 storyline missions, captured about 50 areas though

The M4/M16 is amazing once you've upgraded it fully btw!

Do you ever get to upgrade your ammo stocks... I can easily empty my MP5s and end up switching to pistol until some poor sucker comes along to replenish my ammo

Yes, you upgrade weapons through the Black Market, I didn't even know how to open the BM until about 5 hours in.

I took a trip in a harrier to the large island to the north-west where the buildings are that then blew up my plane, I know we do a mission later to stop it but is there anything else on the island to see other than that area, there are no boats around the area so it was a PITA getting back to the mainland as I had no transport.

Are people doing the faction missions? Do they matter that much, do the seperate factions try and get the same locations or will it not really have any effect on the game. I haven't really looked at them properly so are they required or is there only missions relating to finding the American? Guess I should really read the PDA etc, but I'm at work and just thought about it.

just bought the 5770 with my old Athlon X2 4000+ playing at 1280 * 768 res.

Turned pretty much everything on high / very high and did the benchmark. FPS never went below 30, stuck at around 40 - 50. Assuming that is ok ??

Stronghold takeover - Multiple both for Faction and there are also army strongholds in the desert you can take over as well.

Thanks, just wondered what the options were with the factions and if it affected the outcome.

I dont think I've done any of the agency missions... will give them a go tonight.

Try FRAPS, the free version is quite useful.

FPS seems ok to me, probably cpu bottlenecked but this game seems to run quite well compared to other games I have. If it looks OK and runs OK i'd be happy.

Does it have GFWL on it? The Steam version doesn't use it at all, or is it just for extra DLC?

I've tried to play this a few times after loving the demo, but after about 20-30 mins it makes my PC crash, screen goes black and it makes a weird noise so I have to restart. So annoying
