It's similar to GTA in the fact that it is a 3rd person view shooter, you use vehicles to go from A to B and when you get there you get out and then shoot and blow things up to complete missions. 
However, dismiss it completely because "it isn't GTA and I'd rather play that" and I'd say you were missing out on a really fun game with some seriously good gameplay, not to mention the stunning visuals.

Agreed. In GTA can you jump onto a jumbo jet? Do you have stunning visuals and great performance at the same time? The list goes on and on...
Just Cause 2 is one of those hidden gems imo.
The opposite seems true. spend a few hours blowing stuff up and gain 5% completion

40% at a guess lol ;D i mean i've tried to drive 12km yesterday... took me an hr to get there..

Really wish there was an Ammo cheat for this game, just seem to run out so quickly.
Nevertheless, GTA 4 is sooooooo bording compared with this.

Had that a few times, it's usually:
1. A small base off from the main base.
2. At the very ends/corners of the base.
3. Outside the base/town walls.
4. A transformer/generator.
5. A box on a roof but behind air con units.
Getting rather good at hunting them down now!

Its just an exe, run the game first and load a save, then minimise JC2 and run bolopatch, then enable whatever you want and full screen JC2 again, if you add money/chaos etc these will stay with you IF you save the game

Anyone else having "Driver has stopped responding" errors with this game?
using latest drivers and dual 8800gtx.

I've had that once in another game using the latest Nvidia drivers, I think it might be drivers rather than game based.
Just finished the main 'story' missions this morning, pretty awesome ending sequences, the main gripe I have is that most of the missions are pretty short, especially the faction missions, usually consisting of drive 200 metres, kill some guy, thats it.
Only done 27.something% though in total, Mercenaries mode it is.
I'll give you that, aye. Bolo Santosi sounds like a female version of Navid from Still Game.

Yeah i think it is the drivers,but only the recent ones have the sli profile i think.
