Run around, blow stuff up, do as you please, cause chaos, do stunts!
It's just a fun sandbox really with very pretty graphics and fun gameplay. Think GTA on steroids.I didn't think I'd like it but it's great!

It's the best sandbox game I've seen yet. Huge scale but actually very pretty too and yet it seems to have been devloped in such a way that it runs very efficiently even on medium-end hardware.
Yes the "plot"/story/voice-acting is risible but it's so bad I think it's meant to be so and after some of the things you do, Rico does come out with some unexpected and hilarious one-liners.
Yes it's about exploring beautiful scenery and blowing everything up but some of the things you can blow up are massive (full size cranes etc.) decent-sized cities, a rocket base etc etc. there is so much content.
I've had over 50 hours of carnage so far and can't wait to get home for some more. Try the demo, it's a good example of the gameplay. As someone said, this game has a blowing **** up factor of 10.

well its open world enough ;ptoo bad not all games was not like this, okay fine the story is a bit normal i do believe merc2, farcry etc had a simpler plot. voice acting is fine but no soul

Well said, its the most fun game ive played in ages, some of the missions are just hilarious and it still surprises you, finding new vehicles or locations (the brothel in the sky was a hilarious touch).

The advantage of them not bothering with Dx9 or XP. It really shows. A game you can just keep coming back to.
Yeah it's suprising when you look at GTA IV and then Just Cause 2 though I only briefly looked at GTA IV.
Just Cause 2 runs like silk on my modest rig.
plus its a laugh to play

Anyone else found the lost easter egg/s? They really went to allot of effort for this.
For those who haven't, "acquire" an airliner for the best effect, fly north over the west beach of the most north western island, not too high.
That and "The Whale", won't give away this one because stumbling on its more funny.

Just found the aircraft controls a tad sensetive. Didnt realise that you could slow down.
When you make a turn the camera swings a bit quickly making you loose sight of your objective
