Just Cause 2

Wandered into cex today and got sealed copy for £8. . . Couldn't believe it!. Can't wait to start destroying the place :-)

Demo was fantastic, hoping full game is more of the same!
 
definitely a perfectionists game, I was at 30% when I finished the story

and although it doesn't look like Crysis it looks pretty damn good and plays a lot better, although it takes a long time and some mods to master the jets
 
Bump.

Bought some of the DLC at the weekend after having bought the PC version of the game last week (for the same price as I traded in my PS3 copy)
Well worth it for the upgrade in graphics!

The Jet boosters for the parachute are great fun, loving the Tuk Tuk Boom and the Hovercraft too :)
 
I have PS3 and PC demos and the difference is incredible, it looks so much better on my PC it is not even funny, just sad.
After playing PC version I immediately ordered full from zavvi, hopefully it will arrive sometime this week and not in a month (with zavvi nothing unusual).

can anyone give me a tip on how to complete the mission where I have to get the 3 chemicals and deliver them to a town down the mountain and keep them cold. there are a couple of choppers there is one faster than the other, and would I be better jumping out of the chopper as opposed to landing it. thanks in advance;)

I flew a chopper straight across and then leapt out when I was above the target point - arrived with not an awful lot of time to spare - and the first time I tried it, I failed by about two seconds :mad: - I'm pretty sure (or paranoid) it scales the timer based on how far away you are, rather than how long it's taken :D
 
I was so surprised how much fun this game is. I don't know if it was the fact I got it for a fiver or that I wasn't expecting much but I haven't had this much fun in a sandbox game since GTA 3.

Plus the fact that the developers actively encourage you to blow stuff up to unlock extra missions is a cracking idea.

I struggled with that mission for awhile , in the end I bought a fast jet thing off the black market , parked it near the mountains at the base and once I started the mission just used that instead of the helicopter. Made it a lot easier.
 
Just bought this game in Steam's summer sale. It's brilliant. Loads of fun, still looks pretty damn good and the size of the gaming area and your freedom to explore it is just incredible. This is what GTA4 should have been.

I've not played around with the DLC yet but the jet pack for your parachute looks like a lot of fun.
 
Im just starting the game over for 1st time on PC.

What mods/extras should I install...not to make easier but more fun...Like grpahically and otherwise?

It only runs at 1600x1050 max resolution? this is correct? Cant get any higher in options?

Also should I get triggered bombs mod? I mean how big are these explosions and its with dymaite sticks?

I dont want to have to run a mile to detonate it lol

somebody mentioned a 'naked' mod the other day... that sounded fun ^^
not sure why you have a resolution issue, mine runs at 1920x1080 with no problem
