Just completed Crysis

I really enjoyed it too. I could easily see its flaws. The end level was graphically amazing put poor to play. And the VTOL level was made by a 5 year old during his milk and cookies break.

Thought it was quite good up until you entered the caves and then it all went wrong. For me it became a buggy, repetitive and boring mess.

Take away the fancy graphics and it's just another FPS and not a particularly good one at that. Much preferred Far Cry.

I just uninstalled after about an hour or so of gameplay. Graphics were the only decent thing on the game, the gameplay itself was terrible.

Wish people would stop saying the gameplay was rubbish, it's a hell of a lot better than most recent FPS'.

Spent all day playing it, since it is my first day off since end of exams. What an awesome game! Crytek have done such a good job with it, not just graphics wise but how they got you involved with the story.

Really don't see why so many people **** it off. I can't really fault it for anything, maybe people could enlighten me?

Completely agree with you, I loved it throughout. Far more diverse than Far Cry. Just when the excitement was dulling they'd throw something new at you.

I thought the single player mode was fantastic, i could play it most of the time on medium and looked fantastic, it revived my hope of offline games. But completely astonished by the single player and completed it, i have barely touched the online as the online doesn't really add up to much really, and always fun to mess around with cheats and the AI.
But looking forward to some of the up and coming mods for it, some look real good.

Loved it until the end, the island bits and the zero g(core level) were my favourite parts. Also the flying was pretty terrible. Overall pretty good

loved the game, great job by crytek (other than performance), visually cryengine2 is capable of more than any other gaming engine, i enjoyed the story, the way the game panned out felt right, the core level was a nice change from 'forests and koreans' and my personal opinion, best FPS in a long long long time, by a mile and before anyone mentions COD4, sorry but crysis is premier league, COD4 is like league 2 or something :p

I thoroughly enjoyed the jungle part (most of the game). Felt very intense and somewhat realistic.

Core just made me cringe. The first 2 minutes were like "Wow, this is kinda fun floating about". Then the next hour or so is like "I'm so bored, where the hell do I get out of this ****hole."

Then the rest of the game just felt rushed. Which was a disappointment, since it could have been so much better.

the whole jungle bit i thought was amazing, loved it, the zero-g bit was the worst bit, i didn't see how anyone cause find that fun.

CAN WE HAVE A POLL FOR THIS, SEE WHO LIKED IT AND WHO HATED IT?

whats there to hate, i mean jesus its a game with a nice bit of variation, something hugely rare currently, the only thing that bugged me about the zero G part was killing aliens, there fast as hell, and people getting lost in core? how?

Core was perfect for me. It made me feel unwelcome (as if I'd intruded on some aliens patch). It was nothing like we have on earth which is good becuase its an alien environment. I think most people hated it becuase they were to crap to not get lost. It really didnt take me long to finish. If you hated that you sure would'nt like descent then.

i thought visually the alien ship was excellent, and it was good the first time, but any playthrough since the first time i just skip the entire zone

I personally didn't like the end bit that much, like most people it seems. However, I cannot understand people at all who say they uninstall the game like 1/3 of the way though. They act as though as they disgusted by the game, and it sickens them to look at it. Which, if true, is very immature and generally stupid.

They didn't really they're just drama queens.

Its like trying a new kind of mr kipling cake. If they don't like it they don't simply spit it out, they puke it all over the place.

Personally, I enjoyed the jungle/town area's

Once I got into the anti-grav area, I hated it, turned off, uninstalled and binned.

The jungle area was fun, those pesky choppers were fun to kill.
