Shame you need a custom ecu though. I'd love to just bung some in my car for extra ponies

@Gibbo - You think the SMG is worth it over the Manual in the E46? Car will be seeing track use as well...

You have to drive both, manuals command a strong premium now.

I like SMG one of few that does, easily flashed to the CSL firmware which improves it a lot and I had no real issues with it, clutch went just like it can go in a manual, replacement same procedure apart from using software to prime the SMG pumps etc and pump/bleed the system.

I missed out on your old car, I've found another which has had all the big jobs doing, with some nice mods, only thing putting me off is the SMG part. The problem is I had a manual e92 M3 and didn't enjoy it. Always wished I bought the Auto version. The manual gear changes were not the best..

Yeah he sold it a week or two back, guy from Ireland came for it and paid the 17k asking. Crazy as when he thought about selling it at start of this he offered it me for 12.5k and I was tempted as thought give it a few months and 15-18k be possible and well he sold it no problem he could have probably got more for it.
