Purely from a robbers POV, it makes sense. 9/10 the victim will just give up the goods.
Quick and effective course of action.
Especially in a place where the government has systematically removed the means and tools for people to be able to defend themselves.

I still remember hearing about a incident was a quite a while ago where someone robbed another guys house the house owner managed to knock the robber out and called the police etc. The house owner then got sued ! for assault
i mean eh ?!?!
No it's just means they filed for assult, the robber in that case would never win and it would just be dissmised. unless the owner used excessive force.
if someone broke into my house, i'd definitely 'excessive force' them
