Just got attacked

Sadly this type of incident is becoming more of the social norm around the UK and especially Nottingham.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you and its a shame the police will only give them a slap on the wrist.

Have you thought about changing your route home to avoid alleys/trouble spots?

Also have you thought about taking self defence classes?

Personally i was in a similar situation and since then I've taken Kung Fu lessons to try and help me defend my self if the situation was to ever come around again.

Owned.

Sorry to hear about that it's a horrid being jumped, i remember when it happened to me i was **** scared about walking past the place it happened late at night and seeing the same people.

Telling the police will probly cause more problems than it's solving if your area is the same as mine.

My area is generally quite a good area. One of the good parts of Oxford. This happened basically in Summertown, which is a pretty low crime area.

I don't really have any reason to go there at night, so it's not really a problem for me (it's the path I go after school/at lunch/free periods to get food). I don't even have to go there during the day if I don't want to. There is another way which is about 2 minutes longer if I want to go anyway.

Sounds like you has a sucky day, atleast you got away relativley unscathed and with all your items intact. Props for reporting them mate, scum like that get away with it all too often by intimidating their victims.

Well, at least you took precautions.

Glad you're okay :)

...and yeah I agree, I hope something gets done about them.

Sorry to hear about that. Good on you for getting them reported straight away, hopefully they'll receive a worthwhile correction.

You got flying kicked to the floor, kicked in the stomach repeatedly and head stamped and yet you have minimal damage?

Totally agree with it being more common. Up until last week, only one of my friends (AFAIK) had been attacked, and this was about 2 years ago. In the past week, 8 of my friends got attacked by 11 chavs, some had knives, some had chains, then 2 days later, 4 of my friends got punched by some drunks in town, and today my story has happened.

I'm sure they will get a slap on the wrist, but next time they will get more. If the last people they attacked reported it, they would be in more trouble now.

It's not my route home lol. I was only going there to pick up my bike from a shop. I live in the opposite direction. :)

I did judo for 2 years, and Tae Kwon Do for about 1 year, so I have decent self defence skills. One on one I could have taken any of them, as they were a similar height to me, and I'm pretty well built. 4 vs 1 when at least one has a weapon isn't really good odds for people anyway.

Edit: Fox: ??

Sorry to hear this matey, atleast nothing was taken and you're ok. Unwind this evening now and do something you enjoy with some mates, dont let it get you down.

Yeah, there is probably damage under the areas on my head there is hair, but there is only a a little bit of damage to my face, plus 2 one inch red lines near my bellybutton. Obviously a scratch or two on my hand from when I fell on them, but nothing actually serious. Very light damage. Probably get more playing football!

Glad to hear you're ok after that incident.

May I ask where it was exactly? I live in Summertown and from time to time I see some hooded kids and get a whiff of really terrible smelling ganja...I usually figure it's best to pass them as quickly as possible.

The alley linking Cherwell school to Ferry pool. If you are walking from Cherwell to Ferry it is about 6m past the bend in the alley.

It's the alley where everyone smokes weed and cigarettes, so it's bound to smell a bit dodgy lol.

can we put H&S executives in the stocks as well? pretty please. :D

I suppose you could say you give up your right to health and safty when you comit such a crime, anyhow rotten food is hardly going to do so much damage as stamping on a head. Suppose you could always have the odd exception like a huge knuckle dragging muscle bound monster aiming a mellon or a marrow at their heads.

Damn that's harsh, you were lucky to get away unscathed. :(

I used to get bullied a lot at school, but not quite that badly. At least, nobody pulled a knife on me.

Good on you for telling the cops & following through. I hope you get a decent result.

Don't feed the troll. He's insinuating that you only mentioned it to prove how manly you are or something. Best to just ignore. Let us know if the scrotes are collared, and get yourself checked out medically in case something turns up later on like concussion or something.
