What's the lag like on these for gaming, is it better than the 3008?

I'm gaming on a 40inch 1080p TV that actually cost more than one of these when I bought it a few years back. You get used to it, adjust the FOV to something reasonable, adjust you chair so you can sit back comfortably as opposed to being sat forwards.

Whether I'll be cross eyed or getting eye cancer in a few years is yet to be determined.

I want to echo this, would we need to use two DVI connections just to drive the one screen?
Then it comes down to deciding whether I'd prefer a giant or two large monitors . . .

you only need one dual link dvi cable, all graphics card these days are dual link dvi ports. not sure on which hdmi version you would need but all modern cards should be fine.
