Just ordered: Acer Predator X34

hahah. My bedroom is sooo small... I had to get rid of a work desk and a book case to be able to get the monitor and new PC in haha.

I used to hate these kind of monitors until i got the chance to actually use one. I wish I could justify spending that much on a monitor now.

If you have the cash available and it's not going to cause any financial hardships I would definitely say it's worth it , I think in general and I include myself in this (although recently enlightened) most people don't seem to realise the importance of a display, we spend a ridiculous amount of money on a PC, half a grand or more on a GPU etc, and then push it through an old 24" 1080p panel at 60 hertz, a monitor is a window into the world of your PC, everything you experience is done through your display, so I think it's important you get the best one that you can reasonably afford, with regards to the x34 though which I own, In my honest opinion the most important feature on a new monitor atm is higher refresh rate, that is more important than 21:9 aspect ratio from my experience, I could never go back to a 60 hertz panel.

Completely agree about the investment and importance of the display. For me though, I'd take 40-60hz/FPS at 21:9 with freesync/G-sync over 100+ hz/FPS at 16:9 any day. But then I've never really been able to notice that much of a difference in frame rates once you go past 50 and different things matter to different people...

Really bad choice of monitor for that desk/space IMO. Once you get the keyboard/mouse on there there'll literally be no room and you'll have to be really, really close to the monitor.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find it,

Does any one have the dimensions of the base itself available also do you know the dime dimension of your desk of the top of your head?
