:D arrives Tuesday, cant wait.

Currently on an e6700 @ 3.0Ghz.

Think ill overclock the Q6600 to 3.0Ghz aswell...

Anyone else waiting on theirs?

Oh coupled it up with an Arctic Cooling 7 :D

Welcome to the q6600 owners club.

"Oh coupled it up with an Arctic Cooling 7"

surely you could have got some better cooling?

well... ill see how it is.... ive used AC fans for a while now.... they always perform quietly and good.

If at 3.0Ghz the temps are too high i will ask for a recommendation on new cooling.

cant be bothered with water though.

You want at least 400FSB = 3.2Ghz.

400FSB on a Q6600 is 3.6Ghz.

The AC7 is an okay cooler, but its not gona hold up with the quad.

3.6 is easy on the G0 quad, but cooling must be good. Something like Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme coupled with a Scythe S-FLEX 1600 or even a Titan Amanda, both solutions are expensive, but these are the best air coolers for the quad

Still waiting to get mine up and running (Motherboard RMA) coupled mine with the Tuniq Tower. Let us know how you get on!

I dont thinh the AC7 will be enough to get it up to 3.4-3.5+....It will probably get you to 3.0Gz with decent temps though!

mines at 3.2 with a zalmam reserator1 with 1.4v in bios on a evga 680i!temps reach bout 61c with tmp enc and prime 95running:-)all ok!

hahaha, both are good, the extreme is the best air cooler, I'm sure you will overclock very well with the cheaper one.

Pffffftttt you people make me spend money.... but your also all very helpful! :D

so i got the Extreme HS&F & the Scythe 1600RPM, new CPU .... tomorrow is going be a new day.

So all i need to do is swap the CPU over.... then go into bios? change the multiplier to 10?
