Just Ordered Wrestlemania 28!!! NEED HELP!

cheets is talking out of his backside again.

Wrestlemania has ALWAYS been a pay-per-view event. So has Summerslam and Royal Rumble.

The weekly (now almost daily) shows are still on the normal sky sports packages.

BTW, Brett Hit Man Hart > *

How long have you been watching wrestling? When it started on sky right through around 2000 there was no charge for us to watch any of the events. I don't recall when they started to charge for them on sky but its not always been the case that we had to pay for them.

BTW its "Bret" not "Brett".

Im 32 now, Started wtaching wrestling as it started to peak in 1985, Superstars Of Wrestling used to be on ITV around 1230-130 every Wednesday or Thursday night (cant remember). Needless to say i was a very tired little ninja running the playground the next day but would not have missed it for the world.

Loved it up until about 2005, now don't watch it at all. Still got a hell of a lot of respect for the wrestlers though. I took a few pro wrestling lessons. It bloody hurts.

they used to have the events that were in the uk on sky box office. It was 2 events a year one in april/may and the other late sept/oct.
All other ppvs were free until royal rumble 2001. Channel 4 had the rights to show some ppvs and sunday night heat in 2000 but they never renewed the rights so the ppvs that they showed on channel 4 in 2000 (royal rumble wrestlemainia and a couple of others) then came on sky box office

~1988. Yes, it has always been PPV. I used to get insanely jealous of my school friends whose parents were mugs enough to pay the price for them. They were inevitably repeated on the normal sky sports channels some weeks later though.

I stopped watching/following wrestling ~2005, primarily because we stopped our Sky subscription, but also because I, to put it bluntly, grew out of it (despite already being 23/24). Every major wrestling event throughout those years was PPV.

As for Bret - oddly I thought I had corrected that.

Wassup forum, before you say how childish are you watching wrestling, im 19 years old and wrestling was huge back in my day with the attitude era. Wrestling is slowly making a comeback.

Come back when you can say you watched WCW along side WWF :)

As a 10year old you can be excused for missing out how camp the whole procession was but at 19 you really should know better :p

.

It hasn't always been ppv at all, i used to get my relatives to record it before i had sky and they were never charged for anything. Back then there was no ppv channel on sky, it was all sky sports for WWF at the time, you got the odd one cropping up on sky movies occasionally as well.

The PPV were 3 on sky sports and 1 on CH4, remember watching royal rumble on c4 and loads of us staying at mates for other ppv's around 99-00

The only events that were ppv here were the British events, which i think are now on regular sky sports

I can vouch for this too. Remember staying up/recording all the PPVs on Sky Sports and watching Royal Rumble on 4 around 2000. I probably have the tapes at home still if people are desperate for proof. :o

Dj_Jestar I would like you to apologies, the 90s stuff in the UK was never pay per view, the reason why you were jealous because they were allowed to stay up, no way would my parents allow me to stay up to watch stuff when I was 10 (1993) on a Sunday night at 2am, so had to record it on VHS and watch it at 3pm when I got home.

Summerslam 92 I remember watching that live and dont even remember paying for it! We loved the Davey Boy Smith (RIP) because he was local lad and a mates family knew him.

If you have ordered this event, what is the match that you want to watch and who do you want to win. My match that i want to watch the most is the Rock vs john cena- want the Rock to woop his candy ***.

My question is i have ordered this even does the HD version com free or do i have to pay extra?

You do know wrestling is nothing more than chorea graphed dancing don’t you? Who is going to win is decided well before the fight starts.

The scripted or fixed argument isn't valid, I assume people saying this don't watch any films or TV shows?

Haven't watched wrestling for years, the Rock though is hilarious. Undertaker hell in a cell should be good.
