Just recieved an email...

Got a crap scam e-mail today allegedly from "Barclays" asking me to click a link to update my details, i doubt hardly anyone would have fallen for it because it was so bad but the best bit is i don't have and never have had a Barclays account. :D

Muppets the lot of them.

LOL, nice email. No need to mention the $25,000,000 in a Nigerian bank account or study to become a "Prof."
Saves time and time is money, clever stuff.

Yep.

And there is nothing that you can do with them.

Except put money in!!

EDIT: Although from the sort code you can get the bank address, and if we know who you were we could enter your bank details from above and name etc. on a direct debit form and forge a signature of yours and use them like that....that would actually work too :D

You could try.

And fail.

Which is why I am happy to put them up there, for everybody to see.

My car registration is SX52CPD.

I don't suppose you'd like to post your name & address too?
I'll need that for the Standing Order form, the bank might check the signature, they might not, but it's worth a try:)

How can you post something like that an expect it not to be used? I bet both of you will say the details are false now......(wait and see)

There's not a sausage you can do with either.

Ever posted a cheque? That has your bank details and a signature.

Ever driven your car in public? That has your registration visible to everyone.

That's not entirely true, as I mentioned earlier if someone gets your name & address, bank account number & sort code they can have a go at forging a Standing Order form, it's then entirely in the hands of the bored bank clerks whether the form & funds gets processed or not. The name & address are usually the easiest part of the equation to get:)
