Just some wedding pictures

I notice that and nothing I could do coz there were some of that leaf plantation in top of the water right where I don't want it to be.

No not quite lol

I've done a few weddings myself recently and I'm looking at my pictures against yours. I know I have similar kit with you bar the MKIII but I'm not sure if the difference between my photos is the kit or the processing.

Can you do me a favour please?
If I pass you a RAW, would you be kind to apply your processing methods to see if you can get the same effect as above? I think I need closure to myself as to where I might be going wrong and how I could improve.

TA :)

Going wrong? Thats his own processing style. You don't need to match his, you need to have your own. Just copying someone else won't give you great photos mate.

I'm not implying I'm going to copy someone's else processing style. As everyone's processing style is subjective and so is the fundamental of how people take photos as well.

I do like Raymond's processing and so other photographer's like Kerry Morgan, Jessica Claire and the talented Aleksandras Babicius. I'm experimenting on my style and can see the difference from when I first stated to what it is now.

Some of those are taken with the mkii, some mkiii.

Can you tell which is which? :p

Don't mean to derail your thread but just as you mentioned the 2 bodies, how have you found the Mk3 compared to the Mk2 out of interest?

Like your pics, think my favourite is the one of the fella that tripped and fell on the beach with his camera.

Lol, just kidding, little amuses me. Love the last ones of the lady getting her make up applied. Lovely soft colours with that dof make them very pleasing to look at.

Ray uses a 5DmkIII. Not sure if he's got 2 yet, but he used to use x2 5dMKIIs.

At one point I was using 3 bodies...

mkii had 16-35 and 85L, the mkii had the 35L.

I was inside in the morning and it was quicker just put camera down and pick up another.

Superb as always Ramond, love the shot of the little one looking round the corner. Have you found the mk111 to be a big advantage over the mk11 for your work.

It's great to see your pictures again Raymond, they NEVER fail to impress.

Will most likely contact you when I start planning my wedding :D

Haha, what lenses?

Which photo :p

I have the Holy Trinity of primes which I use through out the day. The zooms are used during formals mostly and a wide angle to get the context shots. I am a prime shooter at heart.

I can give it a go, but i am not sure what that will achieve. :)

The files are nicer, it feels both sharper and softer at the same time. As in the images are sharp yet the feel of it is that it is smooth. A very silky look.

The other things that I now LOVE (AF and AA filter side, lets leave that to the OTHER thread :p) but, something you don't know you miss until it is taken away from you is the Silent Shooting mode.

The latest wedding, I was given strict instructions on when i can and cannot shoot during the ceremony, and the registrar said if she had to repeat what she has to say it wouldn't be good (translation - I would be asked to stopped altogether) I put on the silent mode and shot when she said I could, and even took liberties when she said I couldn't. You do not notice how quiet it is until I picked up the other mkii and shot a few...

After that I got used to the noise, or the lack of it, i found it useful too during candids. Since I am not one of those people who like to pick off shots from afar like a sniper with a 200mm. I get in there with a 35mm. With the silent mode I am even more discrete than ever before, which is priceless.

lol, thank you :)

Awesome mate, as always!

Thanks mate :)
