Im not too sure whats happening or what im suppose to be doing.

Spoilers.

I escaped from prison, went to this house, gave this thing to this guy, went to another place, went to see doom3 hell time place, turned something off, and now im in a church. Ive met the guy im suppose to find. But is that it? or im i missing something> I was told it was a deep rpg :/ Any advice for new players? I'm about 1hr30 in to.

Also what settings do you think would be good for:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 1022MB RAM
Video Card: Radeon X1950 Pro

the main quest is not too long what makes it big is all the side quests...visit the towns/citys speak to people, i played for about 2 months before i even started the main quest :)

A quick warning. If you haven't asked the guy to come with you yet (but it sounds like you have) then don't: it triggers the most annoying bit of the game. You really need to be getting out and about, joining guilds, doing random quests etc, to get experience up. But not too far: the Main Quest is probably best done at about level 12 - after that it actually starts getting harder as you hit levelled creatures like Xivilai (sp?). If you have asked him, then do that bit, but hang fire on the next bit you are asked to do, and then do the random questing etc.

And if you haven't played an Elder Scrolls game before remember: practice, practice.

Finally, when people starting posting in here saying that you absolutely have to have this or that mod, just ignore them. The only two mods which could realistically be described as "essential" are the BT mod (allows more inventory items to show in the screen) and the Immersive Interface mod (which shrinks the huge HUD). All else is personal taste, and a lot of people tend to get rather zealous about certain mods just because it suits what they want out of the game - which may not be what you want. Play first, decide what you don't like (after a good few hours) and get a mod which fixes it.

*Spoilers* (not major spoilers)

Kill a random innocent, you will get a message about being observed then rest. then let the good times roll :)

Id like to think this is a typical iBot thread, but ill give him the benefit of the doubt for the minute.

Yes You are :) although i would recommend you do all the side quests first before doing the main quest, oh and look out for your statue they make for you in Bruma after you do the Aid for Bruma quest ;)

**SPOILERS**

I love it when you do the bruma quests - when you get back to the castle the reinforcements are camped around the castle :)

Awesome.

how am i ment to erarn 40k for a house, when the most a trader will buy my stuff for is 500-1k gold, even when the item is valued at 28k + :(

By ignoring the guy who said ignore mod recommendations ;)

The game is deeply flawed and this is just one of many areas that modding fixed/improved. It's too long since I last played for me to recommend any specific mods but I did find this site: http://devnull.devakm.googlepages.com/home useful when i was modding my game.

Edit: Most important for everybody is to get the unofficial patch. It has hundreds of bug fixes including some quest breakers that Bethesda never bothered to fix. A truly essential mod.
