just started to play wow

To be honest, no class gets remotely interesting to play until you've hit level 20.

Not started this rogue on Shadowsong - Horde, by chance? :p.

oh god....does this mean i will have to spend weeks of my time killing 10 things, walking to so and so and delivering a scroll....coming back and kill 10 bandits this time, walking to this guy etc etc etc etc......
i want to be involved, teamspeaking and playing an important role in my team fighting, and in a guild too!

This game isn't for you.

I really enjoyed all the leveling up in game. Its satisfying getting to that next ding and getting a new power to learn. Then you get to play with it and then ding another. If you do this with friends then the game is great but on your own it would get a little boring.

indeed, if your bored now going from 1-5 then just leave it.

im amazed at the noobs that join the game thinking they will complete it in a couple of days/weeks like some kind of single player mmo. Unfortunately, it takes months of dedication to it for anyone with anykind of life outside it.

Solo Levelling has never been fun. The above poster is right. Levelling with a mate is so much more better! I really recommend that you give it at least 2 weeks before deciding. It can be a really really fun and addictive game.

I did enjoy solo levelling ocasionally, as long as you have a fair-ish idea of where you are going, and can kill everything easily. But it is incredibly boring now without a guild or some friends to chat with or speak to on vent etc. I don't know what to suggest because what you are looking for is only at level 80 really (or you could stay at lvl 19 and run BGs) and that will take months, if not years (seriously) if you have no idea where you are going / what skills to use efficiently, and i imagine you will have lost interest a long time ago by then :D

If your desperate to see high end stuff I'll sell you my account which I never ant to play again, I'll even ship you the games box's.

There not level 80's mind you :)

If you don't like WoW, don't buy it. Though bear in mind that there are very few human players left in the early levels, so be prepared for a grind up to higher levels, but it is worth it when you get up there and start raiding/pvping. Make sure you roll on a PvP server because world PvP makes things much more interesting.

There is a WAR trial out if you didn't know, which I got last week and was very impressed with. I stopped playing wow about a year ago and I used the WotLK trial over Christmas to see what it was like, and while it was very fun, I put off actually buying it because I had exams coming up and I never felt the urge to resubscribe. However, I started playing WAR with a friend and bought the game after a few days because it was great, although there are still a few bugs.

Get out...get out nooow...

/arnie.

Seriously, wow is lame, get WaR instead, or LotRO or even EVE!!

Get a mate to refer you and you can use the triple XP, you will be at level 60 in no time and you can skip the quests you dont like (the area i was just in was brutal, kill 30 of 4 different things, hand in quest, kill 30 of another 4 different things only slightly more powerful).

god i hate all these people who come out of the woodwork saying 'wow sucks, its a waste of time war and lotro is better' blah blah blah

WoW is just an expensive Social Network that is more addictive than cocaine!

Eve is good.

just quit now whilst you're not addicted. so many people on here messed up their lives through WOW..

it's true!

I agree with the people who say this probably isn't the game for you. I find starting areas very boring now, but the first couple of times were great fun. It was all about the lore, discovering different new mobs and exploring the "massive" starting areas. Leveling really is a huge part of the game, and it will take a long time if you've never played before.

Even if you do make it to 80, as others have said, raiding can be like having a second job. With many guilds, you have to be there for a minimum number of raids every week at a set time, and generally you have to sign up several days in advance. You also need to be online at other times to grind money or raid supplies. Before you can even start raiding though, you'll need to gear up, which means expensive crafted items and a huge grind through heroic instances for random drops or badges which can be used to buy items from a vendor.

Nagrand? :p I took 7 characters through Outlands and vowed to never go there ever again.
