It's a new Intel X25 M.

Right I have Vista 64 installing as I speak, and just wanna check that I'm about to do the right things :

*Turn off Superfetch (no need?)
*Never defrag

There were a few other things, what were they again please?

If you are worried about the life of the drive, you can move the page file and temp files for your browser etc, to a secondary HDD. However, I think that kind of defeats the hole purpose...

Disable pagefile
Disable superfetch
Disable disk indexing
Disable system restore
Disable disk shadow service
Disable scheduled defrag
Enabling write caching with advanced performace

I personally wouldnt disable system restore.just limit it's size. Also I've read that disabling pagefile isn't recommended. If you're worried about pagefile bung it on normal hdd.
