Just tryed Crysis

Id say crysis was better due to better gfx and more imense story line.

I found the enemy spawn on cod4 way to frequently and got quite annoying when you just seem to be killing one after the other from the same place.

i have both and enjoy one as much as the other, only thing is cod4 can be run at higher resolution and details with ease, whereas crysis is a different matter, such a beautiful looking game but plays like mud crawling up a hill which is such a shame, perhaps in a few years when technology catches up we might be able to play it the way it was meant to be played.

Crysis Graphics are MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than COD4's. end of.

Yes, better (but not that much!)

It is like comparing 'good' with 'very good'

the game play is more involved in COD4 and it simply runs properly on MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more PCs:D

Well i bought crysis for the multiplayer as i loved the beta best online fps imho as there's so much depth and it's just cool to customize your weapon with sights lasers nade launchers and such.
The best parts are definitely when you approach a heavily populated area and take everyone out with your choice of methods.

For the first time CoD4 is nice.

But any 2nd time it's boring as hell, just infinate enemy's coming and you can't go where you like.

So what it runs on more pc's ? Most hardcore gamers will just buy new hardware to run the newest games maxed.

I am a casual gamer (but not so casual I would go out and get a Nintendo WII like half the world has! - what GPU tech does that use?)

I am part way through COD4 and the only single player game I have completed in the last few years is Bioshock!

Also, the funny thing is that the latest hardware can't run Crysis maxed out at say 1600x1200 plus resolution with AA well enough - this is the sad flaw I have noted with the game

Runs fine though on high here, looks superb, better than anything...

Everything high, 1280x1024, 4 x AA. Win xp.
Everything is smooth, this is on a G92 8800GTS 512 mb @ stock..

On a sidenote, does anyone know what this is, my rocks are acting up:

Is this a Crysis bug ?
Is this my gpu acting up (oh no, it'd be my 2nd G92 card being ******) ?
Or is it the Nvidia Driver?

( oh and yes I know that game desperatly needs AF, will force it in nvidia panel for the next session :p. )

i think its just the way some objects appear, on medium settings they just pop up in 1 go but on high they sort of materialise gradually like they are being transported down to eatrh off the enterprise :P

I would have enjoyed Crysis much more if I didn't spend most my time fiddling about with config files to get it to run remotely well on High settings.

Having not played cod4 I can't properly compare but if you have a good enough computer crysis is just amazing. You literally stop in many parts of the game just to stare and take screen shots - love the waterfalls especially.

Seems a bug because it happenes here too :). I dont use AF it gives a FPS drop too and I only like using 16xAF nothing lower.

Thing is, COD4 runs sooooooooo much better !! maybe people are more getting at whether crysis's better graphics are justifiably making the game run literally 3-4 times worse.

COD4 runs crap for me, sure its getting 60+fps a lot of the time dropping to 30 odd sometimes due to this awfull stuttering I have for some reason but crysis is so much less annoying at 25fps than COD4 at 60fps stuttering.

Everything up to the core level was awesome and after that well that Id have to agree with the general consensus that the game becomes very average.

ano, crysis is good i dont know how anyone can say its not lol.

Even the alien ship i thaught was fun because i liked the limited amount of amunition inside the ship, and allso the fear of what could be around every corner and allso shotgunning the swimming?/flying? looking blue aliens which looked like electric eels was fun.

And allso outside the frozen areas after core level was good, because them aliens was fairly tough. on delta they are anyway :)

Crysis graphics are superior but you need mega hardware to show it off. COD 4 runs great and looks amazing on a normal spec machine.

I got Crysis for Christmas and COD4 just yesterday.

Crysis does have very nice graphics indeed but my PC still struggles with it and ive opted for Medium settings at the moment.

COD4 looks very sweet in most places the environments feel very real, but no doubt this is a lot down to the voice acting and presentation, thought sometimes things do look a bit naff but things always will if you start looking too closely, overall it looks very nice.

I'm just wondering about the settings, in nvidia Control Panel i've stuck 8x AA on, can anyone recommend any other tweaks ? because it still plays really nicely even after that.

I have a brand new nicely clocked computer and run crysis pretty well.

It looks amazing yes, but I'm sorry the shooting is GOD AWFUL. The gameplay is sorely let down by the rubbish weapon handling, they feel totally wrong. I find this problem in a lot of EA games, in BF2 for example, the snipers sidearm was nice and accurate, I found I preferred to shoot with that than an assault rifle!!

Likewise the handgun in crysis is far more user friendly than the rifles. If it wasn't for this seriously crap shooting I'd say it was a very fun game. Love the suit functions..
