Just when I thought Pete Doherty was finally behaving himself

What the news didn't say is what the song is aimed to do, to highlight the nature of racism in the UK. Whilst the ignorant mob may have missed this fact, at a festival not everyone knows a bands portfolio, the reporters SHOULD highlight a fact like this to bring the issue of combating racism, not more mindless abuse, as per every other sensationalist story that is publicised.

Either way, it's a sensitive phrase to use no matter what message you're trying to convey.
 
It does, you're right - I missed that. In my eyes that song could have gone either way, it is just TOO ironic though that of what the song stands for and the way the mob reacted.
