Hi all,

While out with friends on Friday night I became aware that my ex girlfriend's ex boyfriend's ex (A) was going to beat up my ex (R) because of something that happened a while ago between the three of them.

I made the decision to go to inform R so that we wouldn't get hurt, even though she left me with huge rental bills and generally only wants to know me when she needs something. I don't like seeing people get beaten up. There's no point.

I found R, she didn't want anything to do with me and was busy grinding against some chav's crouch. She got beaten up. I saw it all happen and helped her to A&E while the guy she was grinding against decided to go home as he wasn't going to get laid.

I got her home safe and sound and stayed with her that night to make sure she was okay. Now she is begging me to be the main witness as she wants to press charges. I hate seeing anyone get beaten up but I can't help myself but think I shouldn't be a witness for her. She treated me like dirt and now that she needs my help she has realised that she shouldn't have. Karma is a bit of a ***** hey?

What do you guys reckon? Should I continue to be the nice guy and be her witness or should I tell her everything I saw and then stay out of it? I found out she cheated on me while we were together about an hour before she got beaten up but she has the attitude of "Sorry, but everything is about me. Look what happened to me!"

She has a swollen nose, bump on her head and above her eye, bruised and swollen jaw and bruised ribs.

You could be a real ******, agree to be the witness and say she threw the first punch :D

That or all go on the Jeremy kyle show as it sounds like you belong there.

Ohh, that would be a BUUURRRNNN. But I'm not that evil :p

My parents and friends are telling me to stay out of it. They're saying she only wants to butter me up at the moment because she needs me. I'm in two minds. We only broke up three months ago and it was a long term relationship. After everything I've found out over the past week I am pretty annoyed at what she done but at the same time, people who resort to violence shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

I would have thought that you already know the answer. Do the right thing and be a witness.

I think I done the right thing by going to tell her what was going to happen (she wasn't replying to texts), trying to stop the fight when it occurred and then taking her to A&E and making sure she got home okay. The whole time up to A&E she wanted nothing to do with me and gave me two of her girly punches when I picked her up and tried to pull her out of the club before the main incident occurred. There's only so much abuse you can take before deciding "suit yourself. I tried to help but you don't want it". Most people would have just walked away.

Don't do it for her, do it to get one more piece of scum off the streets*.

*By off the streets I mean in reality they will get 60hours community service. :(

Shes sounds the sort that will try and say YOU did it if she doesnt get her own way.

tread carefully.

By any chance was she still your girlfriend when she cheated on you with this girls boyfriend?

No, but they slept in the same bed together.

I'm guessing if I am a witness the girl who beat my ex up is gonna be in a lot of trouble. It was totally premeditated and she punched my ex twice inside the club and then gave her a beating outside. Bouncers are clearly useless.

So your ex-girlfriend slept with the boyfriend of this other girl before they split and said boyfriend became involved with your ex?

Yes. Confusing I know. Clearly the girl who beat my ex up is a bit of a psycho.
