So she cheated on you with some third bloke, left you, then after getting rid of the guy she cheated on you with cheated with this bloke?

Yes. Confusing I know. Clearly the girl who beat my ex up is a bit of a psycho.

Doesn't sound too psycho, really. Your ex-girlfriend sounds like a horrible person.

I'm not saying she deserved to be beaten up, but being her witness in order to get this other girl prosecuted will only serve to vindicate her behaviour, which I wouldn't be comfortable doing, personally.

By being her witness, you would be going against 'karma' in a way.

The girl was with R's ex bf and R was exchanging very flirty texts and sending him photos with the bloke so the girl has hated her ever since.

I got together with R and then she broke up with me after 16 months. I found out that she slept in her ex's bed near the end of the relationship and had been flirting with him via text.

I feels like she was just using me as a filler while she waited for her ex to become single again tbh.

Am I missing something?

You are a witness. You don't get to choose whether or not to be one - it's already happened. Are you asking whether or not you should tell the truth in court? You've already had one suggestion to perjure yourself and make a false accusation against her purely for revenge.

How about you just tell the truth? Forget all the it's all about her/it's all about me stuff and make it about the truth instead.

Seriously call Jeremy kyle and give him her details, she sounds perfect

Also pics? (hey it's gotta work eventually :p)

You're jumping two steps ahead. It hasn't gone that far yet.

No he's asking weather he should go to court at all, he can't be forced to be a witness he has a choice.

The stage it's at is the police are coming round to her house tonight for a statement from her. She wants me to be there and give a statement too.

I don't mind telling her exactly what I saw but I'm undecided if I should agree to be involved with the police. Obviously if they tell me I have to be involved then I will tell the truth to them too.

My ex isn't a chav, she's from Henley :p It's the people she gets involved with in her past that are chavs. She doesn't have much common sense though.

tbh Id hold it over her head let her dwindle and not do it, sounds like to much hassle for some one who clearly isnt worth it, it will get some satisfaction for you but at the same time is bad however you did try to stop it so that is good all equalled out in the eyes of karma :D so your off the hook?

now to be serious Id say no, way to much hassle and probably may end up pulling on the heart strings later on as you'd no doubtingly end up spending more time with her and she clearly isnt right tbh

She got beaten up. I saw it all happen.

Why did you not help her? kudos for taking her to the hospital but could that have not been stopped if you pulled her away from the girl hitting her?

If I was you I would make a detailed statement for her and leave it at that. If you do, all you need to talk about is the fight. Not about you knowing it was going to happen ect, not that you tried to tell her, just tell the police about the fight.

Actually after listening to more of the thread it makes more sense to leave it all alone. Getting yourself involved, when you clearly have doubts, and if you don't have to seems like more trouble than it is worth.

For my money, from what I've read so far, my main factor in the witness/¬witness decision wouldn't be me, or my ex/ex's ex's ex/neighbour's postman's dog's vet's ex/whoever it is that got beaten up (it really is very Jeremy Kyle :p ), but the girl doing the beating up and who she rolls with, and whether I'd want to be in their bad books. Or given that you might be already, whether your name is underlined or in bold, or not.

either dont be a witness or...

be a witness and say she started it then say " looks like she ****ed the wrong guy" put ur shades on and shout "YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH"
