I didn't know it was on last night, I thought the story was referring to the documentary made a few years ago. I'll have to watch it on 4OD. :)

There was a new one on to do with her getting her sight back via the use of stem cells etc. Very interesting to watch.
 
Did anyone watch the horizon program on stem cells. With the goats producing spider silk and what not?

Scratch that, it may have been genetic engineering and synthetic biology. I don't know, I'm not great with science.
 
It was a great documentary and I'm really happy for her that the stem cell procedure has helped her regain her sight in her damaged eye.

The work with stem cells she highlighted was fantastic, living with a spinal cord injury myself, stem cell treatment is where the future of medicine is heading to. It was interesting she highlighted both sides of the argument. The arguments against were laughable in my personal view to believe that a clump of cells are self-aware and feel pain is truly ridiculous.
 
In the opening when it mentioned "and I'll be looking into why some people are against stem cell work".

I immediately said to the missus "I wonder if the people in question will be right wing religious Americans?"

I was not surprised.


Great documentary though, it's been an interesting few programmes on how she's been living her life since the attack.
