Donner kebabs on nan are awsome, my parents get annoyed as it stniks the house out. :D

Dont care what they are made off as most food has a lot of crap in it, it tastes good so it gets eaten.

Agree with Gilly the best chippys are ones that just do fish, chips and pies. Also currys are rank, like most foriegn muck. :p

Nothing on posh fish ;) ( )
Actually that suits me pretty well. I'm not in clifton as such, I'm just kind of near it so I'm actually right by one end of whiteladies.

says someone talking about kebabs

Kebabs are good if you go to a proper place ;) I'd never ever have a kebab in the uk it must be said - certainly not a sweaty horrid one on the way back from a night out...

A proper donner is actually quite a delicacy and is carefully prepared - in the right parts of the world, and doesn't have all the odds and ends in them. I fear that they proabably do put all those bits in in the UK as it makes the meat a lot cheaper to buy.

Then again a generic kebab doesn't have to be a donner. Typically kebabs are made either of lamb or pork or chicken. You don't really get beef kebabs.

You've never had a proper "real" kebab until you've spent time in the middle east ;)

I love chicken and pork kebabs from my local, they get the meat from Chadwicks butchers which is great butchers.

I'd never get a donner in this country.

Also Indian food is carp.

It showed kebab meat being made on Gordon Ramsey's the f word TV show and they were removing the meat by hand, there was no eyeballs nails etc in sight. The guy who was being shown around the factory was a food critic who is picky about meat and he was impressed and said it was good meat and nothing like he thought it would be like.
I thought it was all dodgy meat until I saw this as well, was very surprised at the quality of meat being used. Wouldn't feel so bad about eating one now although I'm sure there are some iffy kebabs about.

take some lamb mince, a little bit of cornflour, an egg, one finely chopped onion, a handfull of green chillis, some turmeric and spices an put it in a bowl, mix it well. now put that onto a skewer and slowly cook it in your oven or on some hot coals, there you go a nice kebab. Unfortunatley only a few places in the whole of the uk make kebabs like that, most of em use crap meat

Chips and gravy is OK every now and again, but you can't have it if you're having fish as well.

If its not gravy it is just salt, maybe with a little bit of vinegar. Nothing else.

Why do you say this as if its some sort of accepted law

I'll eat what I bloody well like thankyou!

Donner kebab meat - all the crap on the floor of these meat wholesalers piled together with some herbs and a special deal to the take aways. I say this to all who eat, their response (just like with maccie ds) "It tastes good".
