Keegan is the WORST manager in the country, he is a parasite, i predicted he would suck city dry same as he has every other club he has "managed".
Bernstein was the only buffer between keegan and the rest of the idiots on the city board.
He will demand cash, he will get it, you will go bust with nothing to show for ir.

who else has he sucked dry ?

Fulham have always been kept alive by Fayed; they're a small club who've been living beyond their means for several years. Anyway Keegan hasn't managed them for what? 4 years or more? Keegan took Newcastle up to a point where we floated on the stock market; not the sign of a club bled dry. Dagleish and Gullit had plenty of money which they each wasted leaving Bobby with very little when he took over.

Newcastle were far better of when he left than when he started

i.e in the top 3 in the premiership as opposed to bottom of Division 1

and Fulham were mor eor less promoted when he left as well and he didnt spend hardly anymoney at fulham there plight at the moment is down to Jean Tigana's spending spree's and not any of Keegans.

as for England Keegan has always warn his heart on his sleeve and in my view he should not have gone he should have given himself more time and maybe even opted to have somone like Bobby Robson back on board the team to help him out tactically for a bit which was being talked about before he went.

But sadly for us he just couldnt handle getting beat at the last ever game at wembley by the Germans. And lets face it not many English managers would.

btw i didnt say keegan was responsible for it ;)

keegan is a good manager but sometimes all out attack wont get u anywhere it might look good but u need a good defense as well and i feel he ignores the defense too much maybe he needs an assistant who can concentrate on that

He hired a 'defensive coach' at Newcastle; Mark Lawrenson, didn't go down too well. Might notice Lawrenson doesn't much like Toon these days :D:eek:

Who knows :p

It was Dalglish and Gullit that sucked Newcastle dry, not Keegan.

Can't remember him spending too much money at Fulham either....

Dalglish and Gullit had to sell the players keegan bought because of their failure to perform.
Newcastle WAS not in Sound finacial health when he left, he left them with nearly 90 million worth of debt.
He is spending like no tommorow at city.
Im not goint to get into tit for tat arguments over Keegans merits as a manager, he is the text book definition of chequebook management, just like o'leary, no man management skills, no ability to take average players and make them great (Wenger) no tactical nouse (Fergason, Wenger) or motivational skills (Robson)
or even the ability to take rubbish players and turn them round (Moyes).
How is he a good manager? he buys a couple of good players and sets them loose on the pitch.
You could do that, i could do that.
And make a better job of it i suspect.

Okay, let's put some facts and figures to this:

Dealings by Kevin Keegan taking newcastle from bottom of the first Division to winning it the following year:

£5.125m spent on 10 players
£0.745m reclaimed selling 'dead wood'

£4.38m loss

Taking Newcastle to 3rd in their first Premiership season:

£7.83m on 9 players
£4.04m reclaimed selling

£3.79m loss

Yes, this is Newcastle's "bought" success talking

Total under Keegan's reign:

£59.93m spent on players [wtf was that about £90m???]
£22.26m reclaimed through players sold

£37.67m loss over 5 years  Absolutely nothing for a club of Newcastle's size with a board as rich as theirs

Probably some confusion about what that was the total of. I reckon that will be the total loss with Keegan, Dalglish and Gullit.
I'd call it some troll talking out of their rectum :eek:

Both Dagleish and Gullit had similar losses yet were each in charge for less than half the time. :( No wonder neither has worked in football management since.

I remember Gullit being linked with the Southampton job before Stuart Gray (man I hate that guy!) took over. I don't think he would have been spending money like he did at Newcastle if he came to the Saints :D A little feeling I have tells me that we couldn't afford anything over £2m at the time hehe.
