Keep cake away from the office

I had a theory while working at the office that women would "bake" just as an excuse to cheat on their diets, there's some very weird psychology that goes on behind baking definitely.

There would be one woman encouraging people to eat, then if someone was on a diet and said no, the other woman would look disappointed and try and convince them subtly to break their diet and eat one so they themselves didn't feel bad about eating a cake.

I do like cake. If the cake wasn't there then I wouldn't eat it, but if it is there then I will.

So I sort of do agree with it...

Because I like cake...

Definitely. Same as with eating. If it's there then it will be eaten.

Just ban the practice of having to bring cakes in for your OWN birthday. It's my birthday buy me some cakes goddammit!!!
Yeah, isn't this a messed up concept? It's akin to buying other people presents for your birthday...

The lack of will power and personal responsibility is astounding.
Yeah but cake...

I think this is a really good idea. There are too many fat people at work, and they are getting fatter. Why give them cake? They clearly can't stop themselves.

There's one girl at work who is already inordinately corpulent. She is spherical. The other day she ate two - TWO - EXTRA LARGE PIZZAS. She can hardly walk, she just kind of... oozes down the corridor. And what do people give her as rewards for her work? CAKE.

I support this. Bring in fruit, or low calorie snacks for people, not cake.

If it's their birthday, give them a lemon. If they ask why, say, so you can make lemon cake at home.
:cry::cry::cry: give them lemon, can you imagine the response you'd get.

I once worked with guys who would eat sweets all day and bring in different ones to share/test out. One of them ended up needing fillings

It's also just one person's opinion.

It'd be interesting to know when in history one person's opinion turned into 'they' wanting to ban XYZ, whoever 'they' are. Must rage about society falling apart etc.

If you had to summarise the state of the UK right now, this is a good example of the woke, complaining, I'm PC, overbearing, entitled, easily offended wet lettuces so many have become.
Please don't bring cake into the office, it's not fair on ME ME ME, because I then eat it and it might make ME ME ME fat.
**** off.

No it's not.

It's an example of media using one person's opinion to rile up people like yourself. Making you annoyed at 'others'.

Cake isn't some kind of weight ballooning, heart-attack inducing, crack level substance. It's just a poor way to consume calories. You could eat nothing but cake if you wanted to (yes you'd be disgustingly unhealthy) and lose weight if calories out > calories in. Can't believe someone like this is head of the FSA.

Funny my first email to the entire office today was...

"Its my birthday and i will give you heart failure if i want to"

Cakes upstairs.

/enjoy.

:)

Absolutely they should, but they don't and it's not working just telling them they should and expecting it to happen.
i think before even talking about banning cake in the office we should be banning the fat messes on social media who say being fat is ok.

edit: let me re-word the above - i think before we begin suggesting people don't bring cake into the office, we should be looking at putting a stop to the fat messes out there who promote a fat body as being something that is ok. deal with that issue first, then see where we are with asking others to help out fat folk who struggle to help themselves.
Ban offices.
ban being fat, even easier.

I don't know one person like this. Not one. Online there seem to be a few vocal ones... but do I know any? No.

If the media get people angry they're serving their own purposes well. If people are angry then they will react, comment and share.

Well, quite, but then no-one is talking about banning cake in the office, a person has just suggested don't bring it in :p

We'll have the berks comparing this to authoritarian totalitarian re-education labour camps next!

Just another example of infantilising adults.

It's also a way of making people feel insecure. Similar to the news constantly saying about prices going up, but to get a reaction they will say your tea bags are getting more expensive.

Nothing is and yet we are still a nation that is horribly overweight, unfit and unhealthy.

Unfortunately this sort of thing is necessary because people cannot be trusted and they don't hurt just themselves, they hurt their children and they put a massive strain on the countrys finances in numerous ways.

If people behave like children, they need to be treated like children.
