Kenshi - Free roaming RPG

I never heard of the game until I read this thread. So on an impulse I bought it. Not sure what I make of it just yet, still learning, will see how I get on when I get some of the fundamentals down.
In my first game I got caught thieving and the guards stabbed me and I died after about 15 minutes because of a gaping chest wound. Now the thing that annoys me about this is that I had found a first aid kit, but I accidently dropped it instead of using it. But, I couldn't pick it up again because I was unconscious. That's fine, that explains why I couldn't use it or pick it up again, But surely if I was unconscious, then I shouldn't have been able to drop it in the first place!! Things like this really bug me in games.

Still playing this. It's an odd game that's for sure. I start playing then a couple of hours go by and I hardly notice. But in that two hours I accomplish very little in game.
It shouldn't be this engrossing but it is.
I have actually stopped playing Kingdom Come Deliverance to focus on this game.

Yup, definitely a slow start when your skills are lacking. Not played in a while but there used to be several xp moda that made it faster. Think I used 1.5 times xp mod when I played.
