O/C 480 is enough for my needs at the minute.. however something cooler & less power hungry would be very nice!

I am waiting for Kepler to decide.

This isn't a dig bud, but this is to everybody who reads this post!

Do we realy care about power usage? Seriously, the only time I consider it is if I wish to go SLI/CF and hope that my PSU has enough grunt to cope.

I'm waiting on Kepler, so I can pick up a good deal on a 580.

Hoping I'll be able to sell my 480 and get an upgrade for £100.

I wouldn't be upgrading if not for the noise the 480 puts out... There's nothing wrong with it performance wise.

i built my new pc at xmas and bought a gtx 580 i would have liked to wait for kepler but couldnt wait for another few months if kepler is 80% or so better than what i got i might be tempted to sell mine and get a gtx680 when prices are bit better

Ghøst pointed me to the following clip.

It is from Overclock3D and the reviewer says that Kepler is going to be expensive. Watch the video clip from minute 17.

Well, we always knew it was going to be expensive, the question is how expensive?

If they decide to match 7970 current prices with the gtx680 and be quite a bit faster then amd would still have to reduce their prices accordingly.

I'm pretty sure they'll release the gtx680 first, just by going off past generations.

But if they release the gtx660 first, and still match the price of the 7970... then that would be very sad. :(

Its nvida what do you exspect ...yes they will perform better but most games something like 570 is more than enough grunt intill games start needing these monster gpu's thats when the price v performance will drop

Really happy with my 580, yet to find anything it can't play at highest settings, if I venture any higher than 1920x1080 though I may have to invest.

I bought and watercooled a pair of 480's on release day (see sig link). The 580 would have made for a pitiful upgrade and the 7970 not that much better. Hopefully the top end Keplar knocks it out of the park so I can get a decent and noticeable upgrade.

I can pretty much max everything on xfire 5850's so there's no point in upgrading really yet.

Once I get the inferiority feeling of having to run games on medium then I'll take the dive again.
