I haven't got anything at the moment (well, do have onboard HD4290...) I'm not sure what I am waiting for. Was hoping the 77xx series would offer better performance than they did...
Not sure what to do now, the waiting game is usually a poor one to play. Could be waiting for months to be left underwhelmed.

Waiting.

AMD seems to be offering decent cards, but with "quick, grab it" prices, so either they know that the Kepler line-up isn't going live up to expectations, or they are just trying to make as much as they can in the short term, which does not bode well. Whether their strategy is valid or not, it's not a game I'm interested in playing, particularly given how much of their new stuff is underwhelming, to say the least.

Annoyingly, I actually do NEED a new card right now as my old one has just died, but I'll probably end up buying one I could have got last year rather than take a gamble right now. If only because I don't like being taken for a ride and I WOULD have bought a 7950 without hesitation if it had a decent price/performance ratio, since it's pretty good by all accounts.

1 & 2 really. Purchased a 7950 to play with, not exactly over the moon with it so really still waiting on Kepler.

Hmm...just noticed the offer on the HIS 7950, may just be enough to make me bite since I need a new card right away.

Still, it's more than I'd like and I don't doubt it will drop further pretty quickly, but not too bad given they seem to run pretty cool anyway, so I'm not sure I'd need a dual fan cooler/nonsense factory overclock.

waiting for kepler.

option 1 - get a 7970/50 if prices fall to £250-300
option 2 - gtx 680 is £350-£400 and substantially faster in games and not a sidestep as the 7 series is to the 580s
option 3 - if prices remain to be ridiculously high, then i will play on console, as i don't see the point of spending £500 to play console ports

will soon find out
