key sites to stay away from

G2A, Kinguin - both dodgy, you may never have an issue but both aren't legit.

CDKeys and GreenManGaming are the most reliable.

Used CDkeys and Fanatical in last few months, no issues to date.

GreenManGaming and Fanatical are authorised resellers, you'll have no problems with them.

CDKeys, G2A, Kinguin aren't authorised resellers but of all the dodgy ones, CDKeys are by far the best.

That was years ago
But still happened. If the game was removed from your account, then go back to whichever site you got, or paypal, and get your money back. IIRC Steam has removed games from libraries like this. Ubi however decided to ban accounts for it, so you lost everything on that account. Unless you've got one account per game, you might be losing a fair amount. At the end of the day, it's everyones decision to make themselves, but it should be an informed decision.

I usually try to stick with the legit sellers, though CD Keys is the one non-official one I'll use occasionally. I think the ones to avoid the most are those that act as a marketplace for other sellers, they often seem to allow you to pay a bit extra as insurance if there is a problem with the key, the fact that they offer such a service tells you all you need to know.

Has anyone bought recently on CD keys? I've just had 2 orders get an immediate refund. First on paypal and second on normal card. I had a look through their Twitter and there's a few comments of others experiencing the same.

If you use isthereanydeal.com that place shows you deals from a range of different websites and I am sure that they only show deals from legit websites that don't get their keys from dodgy sources.
