Hello guys, I'm having some issues with my new build - It's been working fine for the last few weeks but yesterday I booted up and the mouse and keyboard are not responsive on the login screen. Can't enable Caps Lock or Num Lock on the keyboard and the mouse doesn't move whatsoever. When I post into BIOS the mouse and keyboard are both fine and usable.

I have had a look around the net, but couldn't see any clear helpful advice relating to my situation.

I don't know if I have accidentally deleted something I shouldn't have or whether something has gone wrong elsewhere but any help or advice would be fantastic.

I'm running Windows 7 with Service Pack 1. The mouse is a Razer Imperator and the keyboard is a Saitek Cyborg V7 - I'm a bit of a newbie with regards to PC's, but if there is anything else you need to know then just ask away!

Thanking you in anticipation.

I have tried unplugging/plugging back in, no luck there I'm afraid!

CinderzFTW - how would I go about uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, can I do this through the BIOS?

Sorry for the length of time it's taken to get back - I've been at work.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear but I get no mouse or keyboard input whatsoever - I can't even access the desktop. So I don't know how I would go about doing that?

Every time I try to do a repair it tells me the System Recovery OPtions is not compatible with the version I am running. Don't know if this is due to Service Pack 1 being installed.

Sorry about this guys, I know you all must get fed up with answering everyones problems!

Haha, that's true I guess!

I've tested both the keyboard and mouse on the PC downstairs and they work fine - So it's not an issue with the hardware, as far as I know. It can't be a mobo issue otherwise they wouldn't work in BIOS.

It's just confusing as they were working fine one moment and then not the next day.

Have I deleted something I shouldn't?

Well, I am going to try and install the drivers through my Windows Install disc, hopefully I can get some results there. If not, I am honestly stumped for potential solutions!

Terribly! I tried loading both mouse and keyboard drivers, rebooted and once again; nothing!

Seriously considering formatting the damn thing, there's nothing on my SSD besides Windows. However, I still feel this wouldn't fix anything.

EDIT: Oops, spelling.

I don't know if this goes anyway to helping solve the problem, but when the PC boots up after it shows the ASUS logo it says "Detecting Drives: Done: No drives found"

Does that help explain the problem?

I'll try LKGC and see if that can provide any answers.

EDIT: Can't even access Last Known Good Configuration. Sigh, just going to have to format the damn thing, luckily everything else is stored on my 2TB HDD. Just hope I'm not doing anything wrong by doing this.
