Keyboard and Mouse not working on login

Have you tried with just the k/b plugged in and nothing else? A friend had a similar issue and his mobo wasn't able to power all his USB devices properly.

Well, they've been fine up until now and I've seen no noticeable issues with either thus far. I'll try with just the keyboard and see how it goes.

No luck in regards to just the keyboard - I tried the mouse on it's own too, no dice.

I don't know what I can do. Stumped!

Hmmm, don't know much about it but I believe at some point people were having problems with USB ports on ASUS motherboards. So it may well be that. :S

Could formatting my SSD and reinstalling my OS help, or is that maybe a bit too extreme?

Hmm. I really don't know. For it to stop working at the login page seems very strange to me. If it's not much hassle, then it might be worth a try. Otherwise it might be an RMA for that motherboard. Unless anyones got any ideas!?

EDIT: Can't even access Last Known Good Configuration. Sigh, just going to have to format the damn thing, luckily everything else is stored on my 2TB HDD. Just hope I'm not doing anything wrong by doing this.

LKGC you are a lifesaver. Just got the mouse working, re-installed drivers, turned it off and now hoping that it'll work after dinner.
