have you tried plugging it in to another usb port?
what does it do if you boot the pc with no keyboard?
is there any option in your bios that checks a keyboard/mouse is present on startup?

Try the keyboard in another USB port, you may have a conflict or it may be reliant on drivers, not all USB ports are enabled immediately in bios.

andy.

tried second usb- same error

no keyboard- same error with 2 fast beeps then starts without pressing f1

in the bois it looks for a keybord and a mouse and says that they are both there on startup

Go into bios and select Halt on "all errors except keyboard" or similar, this will allow booting without raising the keyboard error.

cant even get into the bios it deactivates the keyboard after leaving express gate and reactivates it after pressing f1 i can tell this by when the lights on the keyboard come on. arrghh

It means that if bios detects an error it will halt the boot sequence, EXCEPT if it is a keyboard error in which case it will carry on.

andy

how do i get to enable that in the bois? i cant find it anywhere :S

just managed to get into the bois using an older keyboard
thanks
